Not Soft-Tex on Platinum. ..said at least couple of times
The feature that sticks out to me is the turbo V6. So with the price hikes and the interest rates. That motor will never see the reliability as NA motors. So with a selling price of almost 80,000 it's the dumbest buy you can make.

I have been seeing a lot more new Tundras on the Toyota dealership Lots.. Hopefully they will start dealing with people respectfully and stop with this adjusted market value which is nothing but Shady and validating them as being Stealerships...
This new Tundra has made Leaps and Bounds over the previous generation.. I can understand the price increase as the options and technology is 20 years ahead of the past generation. It is great you can add options to the lower trims as well and from the outside looking in you can equip an SR5 to look like a platinum trim.. minus the panno roof.
It is such a drastic change with everything going on I can see they may have a few issues but will soon remedy all of them.. I would never consider the old generation Tundra after looking at this new gen..
Things are turning around, I found a platinum for 4k off of MSRP.

I bought a trd off road and love it
Stopped at local dealer today. They have a 23 Limited in blueprint and a platinum. I actually like the chrome on the limited and the grayish colored grill vs the platinum. Looked incredible.

@@predpalina I used to feel that way but I just bought a 2023 Tundra Platinum on 04-07-23 and I love it! I get compliments on it all the time.
The seating material is actually real leather and not softex on the platinum trim.

No the 14” screen is an option. The remote start I’m not sure, mine has both

Yes. U can get the iforce V6.

My '24 Limited has the same JBL sound system. Audio is fantastic.

Why does the power outlet look flimsy and unscrewed?
If they ain't gonna bring the v8 back, they need to make a piped in sound through the speaker that sounds like the old 5.7
It is piped in on the TRD PRO (and there is no way to turn it off without a visit to the dealership service dept). Not sure on the Limited but he said there were options for changing the sound, so it's probably on the Limited as well.

At 18:51, the trip history shows the latest MPG at 7.2 mpg. That's definitely well below what Toyota is advertising for this vehicle, and what was stated in the video. That's just as bad as the V8 they were using. How can Toyota justify the boost in the price while the poor fuel economy hasn't changed? A big display and fancy grill aren't enough to get my money. Thank you for the video, though.
This is what i just paid for Silverado 2500HD high country, Toyota got really expensive......guess they all did
Think old tundra looked better just needed an interior, body looks kinda choppy and mis proportioned...darker colors look better than lighter ones....
Consumer Reports just recommended NOT buying the new Tundra. The only 1/2 ton pickup they didn’t recommend 😬 (quality sucks basically). I am a Lexus fan boy, but truck wise, F150 wins IMO. * this is after waiting 2yrs for the 2022 new Tundra to come out.
The quality issues are mostly with body integrity and hardware rather than major drivetrain components. Squeeks and rattles and things of that nature.
@@toronado455that’s correct! My seat squeaks and it’s probably the most annoying thing. I tow all the time and I haven’t had any issues.
I want to like this new Tundra, but I just don’t. I liked the previous generation much more than this one. I’ll gladly drive a gas-guzzling V8.
Amen. Completely eliminating the V8 was a huge misstep on Toyota's part.
Im sad i sold my 2015 tundra 5.7 trd off road last spring 😢
