2020 just beat him. By this stage of the game you have pretty much found out how to defeat niohs bosses. Dodge, block, run and find moments where you can quickly get attacks in. This boss i found extremly difficult to find these moments. Ended up going in with my most powerful 2 handed weapon on high stance. Put water on my sword and carnage buff on before i went through the door. Once inside, sloth and the weakness buff on him then got to the side of him and just mashed triangle doing 1000+ hits. As soon as sloth ran out i used it again and kepted it up. Once it ran out again he was at about 30 to 40%. Then used living weapon and finished him off. Not much of a plan but thats what worked for me lol Good luck

Anyone randomly here thats still stuck, took me 2 hours to beat this guy and I'm pretty sure I was 10-12 level under what I should have been. Here is my strat. 1. Low Stance only 2. Cast an attack up and elemental buff before entering the door (i used water) 3. Immediately start by wailing on him, dodge back to get your stamina and cast a defense up buff. He should whiff his paw strike. 4. STAY AGRESSIVE! The paw strike is probably his most lethal move because it can stunlock you into a 4 hit combo. When he charges at you dodge left and go right in attacking. 5. If he hits you with the paw strike you cannot dodge out of the stunlock but you can block. Block the 2nd or 3rd hit (if you aren't already dead lol) and time your dodge for the next strike. Learning this saved my ass so many times. 6. One again STAY AGRESSIVE, when he winds up to do the yellow laser quickly move in and attack his head allowing you to stun him. Being too far away from that attack can be an instant kill due to how hard the sweeping variation is to dodge. His spinning attack has a pretty easy tell so block it if you see it coming, trying to dodge away is unreliable because of range and dodging in is inconsistent. 7. If you do get a moment of respite and he is far enough away, re cast your defense and/or offense buff. Every little bit of health counts. I'm sure every seasoned Souls player has died to a boss with a sliver of health left. Good luck to anyone who is still struggling with this game.
Nioh knows how to humble you, last two boss before this ass, I killed on my first try. Got a little arrogant and this thing showed up. Still haven't beaten him but thanks for all the tips in the comments and the vid
I just got to him and it took me 23 tries to beat him. He's not that hard in his first phase, you can easily get him down to half health. It was that stupid whirlwind attack, the backflip, and occasionally his punch that got me if I didn't dodge correctly. I got close to beating him numerous times and I almost gave up, so don't worry you'll beat him. And if you haven't figured it out yet, water is his only weakness.
@@guilhermecarreira275 bit late to the party, but - it’s always obvious what a bosses weakness is. Pay attention to the equipment and items you pick up on that level. I kept getting water talismans, so you know that’s what you use on the boss. Hasn’t failed me on any level up to this point
This guide is nice, but there are easier ways to beat this boss. Equip a water based guardian spirit. Apply pleiades, extraction, and water talisman before opening the door and use spirit stones to pre-charge your guardian if it isn't ready. Immediately hit the boss with sloth and weakness. Activate your living weapon and wail away. The pleiades and extraction will keep you in living weapon and the water damage will stun the boss. I got the white tiger crusher title with this strategy while wearing lvl 50 gear. My weapon was the spear from the raging bull set and I had 30 magic and 20 spirit. Most of my other stats were set to 10. Once you realize how overpowered magic and ninjutsu are the game becomes much easier.
I was watching my husband play this level- the White Tiger. I’m a beginner video gamer, but I like to watch him play, since he grew up playing and is pretty good. He was so frustrated here- could not beat the level. Kept trying over and over and over. I decided to help him by looking things up online, and I saw your comment. That really helped him! He did not realize he should focus more on the ninjutsu and magic (I don’t remember the exact term.) Thank you for sharing your knowledge! I think I died about 5 times. All my armor is light armor, my character around level 76. (Haven't checked, but it's around there) Used single sword. Medium stance throughout. I gave up on dodge rolling for the most part, and blocked the majority of attacks. I only dodge rolled to get out of a corner or away from a wall. I waited until just after he finished shooting his death ray (or whatever it is) and as he finished, I nailed him with everything I had. I. made sure I was right next to him, so that when he finished, I just stepped in front of him and wailed away. This boss is not a damage sponge.... you can drain his health quite quickly. Just wait for the death ray, as he shoots it, get super close to him, and as he finishes, just let him have it. Do that a few times, evade or block the other attacks, and this boss is toast.
I had a hard time for the first 2 attempts. For the 3rd attempt I just blocked all of his attacks and attacked him in between his claw strikes and when he shot his lazer. I beat him first try using this strategy. I'm not sure but this might only work for heavily armored people since I use the axe and am heavily armored but it's worth a try if you're struggling!
Ive been trying to beat this boss for almost 6 hours now. Probably around 300 deaths. Imbsurprised I havent broken my laptop. Worst boss in the game yet

Just beat it. Here's what I did: I have a light build, lots of stamina, minimal armor. I used the spear, " Akaoni-no-sankaku" ( it does fire damage, and with Max familiarity, it does 410 damage. You get this weapon from a sub mission boss fight against li, the red demon) I used low stance I dodged like crazy and I barely blocked. Focus more on dodging without blocking so your stamina builds right back up. With a light build this is very possible. I would Dodge all his attacks, Dodge Forward and attack ( mostly with two hit combos) and Dodge backwards or to the side. Dodging to the side with a spear in low stance does a quick spin move that you can spam, really useful when you have to dodge multiple attacks coming at you very quickly. You kind of have to get a rhythm going and analyze his attacks, try your best to predict what he'll do next. You'll die a few times before you get the hang of it but once you feel the rhythm of the fight you should be able to take him down I hope this helps 👍
I just beat him before watching this video. As soon as the fight starts I high stance a light combo with a water sword while he’s roaring it infected him. Then I stayed to his left or right forcing him to attack with his paw knowing which side it’s going to land due to my positioning. Once I started to dodge his claws it was a easy game.

I just got the chance to play nioh 1, for those like me in 2020 that have having problems with this boss: Just use the sloth magic and use your living weapon. I used it from the beginning of the fight and lowered his HP to 40% then use your second sloth magic and attack him a lot from his sides
On this level just before the boss on the left in a pit is another electric cat monkey thing. What happens if I kill him? Just curious if he’s worth the trouble.
Just defeated the boss after 10 tries, here’s what I did: Build: Strength/Magic Level: 63 Make sure you have your living weapon gauge full. As soon as you step into the arena cast sloth and wail on him. Go as far as you can and bait him into doing his full screen charge. Rinse and repeat. Use second sloth talisman and use your living weapon to finish him. Easy peasy.
After reading the comments : Am I the only one not using Sloth talisman? the problem with White Tiger is the stagger when it use its claw, messed up your timing. Also, don't attack it from behind too much, it has a grab attack with its tail
This boss is actually super easy. In fact, many of the bosses are quite easy once you know a certain trick and that trick is the Sloth talisman. I use Kusarigama and before each boss, I use the ability to power up (Summer Twilight), use carnage talisman and whatever elemental talisman that will work best or I just use poison if I don't know. Then once the fight starts, immediately use sloth talisman to slow them down, then use life seal and weakness talisman. Then just go ham on the boss. Using a Kusarigama, I can immediately whittle the boss down to half health in 15-20 seconds maybe and then I just pop my living weapon and kill them in the next 5 seconds. Really the trick is the sloth talisman and the Kusarigama. People really underestimate that weapon and don't utilize Onmyo magic enough. I REALLY don't understand people who use slow weapons like Odachi, Axe or Hammer in this game. I usually go for those weapons in the Souls games but Nioh enemies and bosses are just way too damn fast.
This is the level that I just quit this game the cluttered yokai this boss just one hits you yeah this game is just too much plus I realize I couldn’t just buff my way outta this boss because no buffs work on him

Cannot dodge laser beam or blocking won't work either it instantly kills me at start of ballet cannot even hit him and sloth doesn't work and dodging doesn't help either. Level 90 at moment

just use weakness talisman, sloth talisman, then change to living weapon, then hit it multiple times..i can kill the boss easily with the first try..

Poison bro ! Poison!!!! First drop two small Ninjitsu bombs & light them on fire. then lit up some poison on your weapon & get busy, Easy kill
You can try using sloth (magic item) as well as a fire amulet on your weapon. Usually works for me, just try to stay behind them as much as possible.
You just have to block and dodge and just get hits in inbetween his attacks. Pretty easy. Just know his moveset

The easiest way is...sloth and... slice hahaha
