I highly recommend that if someone does a lot of boat riding during the hotter months not to hook the light to key on power. The added heat from the bulb will discolor gauges pretty quick. LED bulbs will most likely solve this issue when they make it to gauges.
ON/OFF/ON rocker switch: Center pole on switch to "S" pole on gauge. Signal wire coming from each tank will go top or bottom of switch. This should allow you to read both tank levels with the key on & just flipping switch. Good luck 👍
What brand sending unit was you demonstrating. Looks like the one I need. I have a 96 polar kraft bass america boat and zero info on sending unit ohms. Any information will be welcome

Possibly but most fuel gauges are less than $30 so not really an issue.
