- I made my first mixed media animations just for fun and as a way to spend my free time. I almost randomly uploaded them on TikTok, not really sure why, but unexpectedly, it seems that many people liked this analog, somewhat nostalgic, and rule-free kind of creativity! So I decided to tap into my inner child even more while working on this animation, and I also decided to show you longer snippets of my process, in case you're curious about how it all looks! 👾
Maybe we don't have to print out the picture of each pin. We can take a screenshot and draw with Apple Pencil on the iPad and edit it frame by frame.
Yeah! That would be a different kind of animation, but it also gives great effects, I do that sometimes too
That dont give that vibe of real paper with real wear and tear and imperfect strokes, it is another style
that's exactly what i thought as i don't have time to print and draw in each pic now so this is more time saving for me
this is literally so cool, you finally gave me the boost I needed to try mixed media animation hahah
Thank you! I'd love to see your animations! 🤩
@@noonglow well you are in great luck!!! I literally just uploaded my first, and I'm so proud of it heheh💅
🤩🤩🤩@@conniee_
This is so cool! I would definitely buy a pack of those letters you've made!
wow, thank you! I definitely need to create some mixed media packs
hooly crap that is so so incredibly awesome and fascinating!
😍 thank you SOOOOO much !!
One things I can’t find anywhere is how people are then taking the print out frames into the edit and lining them all up. Is this a kind of drag and drop process, or is there some automatic way to do this? I also only have iMovie 😂 another channel said you could do it on iMovie but they didn’t say how.
I've never used iMovie, I use Final Cut. But I remember starting with a free app, I can't recall its name, but I'll check and let you know!
Shot cuts is free and there's another free one. I would customize things with affinity 1st then add into the movie later. If you meant adding still photographs into the movie.
@@noonglow Yes! Could you make a video of that part or a full process video?
This reminds me of zines from the 90's
Best compliment ever!
Hey, great video. Could you please share us your print settings? In what type of paper do you think is the best way for this animation? Many thanks ❤
hey, thank you!! you can find a short video on my tiktok about different types of paper. I definitely need to make a longer video and post it here because every paper is good, but some types of papers are better or worse for certain mixed media techniques.
How do you scan? It's so neat and pretty ❤
Thank you so much 🖤 I use my printer/scanner (all in one), I scan each page and then separate individual frames in photoshop
@@noonglow thx !!!! I love you ~ 💘
@@1jeeny30 no problem, thanks again for leaving a comment, happy you like my work !! 😊 💘
so lovley !!
i see art. i subscribed
omg THANK YOU!
💥🧡
This is so cool, i gonna try this .❤elsy
Thank you so much 💖 I’d love to see your animation!
what paper do print these on? glossy or matte? photo paper?
For this animation I used regular printer paper, but I often also use glossy photo paper. both work well, depending on what mixed media techniques you want to use.
Hi! what do you use Adobe premiere to animate the final video?
Super fun to do, don't you think??? I'm facing a problem, you know. When I open the video on Premiere Pro and try to render as JPEG, 8fps, Idk why but it render like 3 pics of the same frame and I end up with 270 pics on a 7 seconds video. You know what I'm doing wrong or what else I could do to solve this problem?
Hey, sorry I'm just getting back to you now! 🫣 I use Final Cut, so I'm not an expert, I've never worked with Premiere before. Did you manage to resolve that issue?
That is way better than CG compositing which is a pain to do.
what is he frame rate when u exported this
It depends on how smooth you want the movement to be, 12 fps is okay.
