Tysm now i can carry in this most important things for horses once and leave it with saddle and bridle. Also it looks so great and its usefull if you are short and saddle is heavy or there is no places on a wall to rent for a saddle. Now i don't even need to find an old cabine cuz i can just make little doors on the side (ex. Left) and on the other side a wall (ex. Right). Tysm again. I'll get a horse on a birthday so it will be usefull to save money to buy wood for this. Btw If someone will move it sometimes u can add little wheels under it. So cool idea
Another questions because I'm getting ready to do this myself. Now that you've have the saddle rack for awhile what do you put in the hidden compartment and on the shelf. With the saddle on the rack I would think it would be difficult to get to things.
Hi Ron Betts , So right now I have a lot of brushes, and new grooming items sitting on the upper shelf, and in the lower compartment I have a girth, some stirrups, and some other odds and ends tucked away in there, and then on top of that I have my fancy sheepskin saddle pad. I don't use the shelf or compartment for easy access, it just gives me extra storage space, especially during the winter when I bring all of my tack inside. During the summer, most of my tack and horse related items move back into my tack room.
Thank you for the video! looks like great quality!!!

About how much stain did you use?
Can you place a western saddle on this and sit on it safly with out damaging the saddle or stand.
This saddle stand is strong enough to hold a western saddle too
Could you possibly give me some basic dimensions. Like the overall height and width of the end boards and length of the 1x3's?
how wide is this rack?
she said she used 1"x12" boards. So it's 12" wide.

Again thanks for the quick reply. My daughter and I love watching your videos.
Which end of the bucket did your friend use to trace the rounded part?
Hi Ron Betts,
She used a regular 5 gallon bucket, and used the top of the bucket on the wood to trace her pattern.
Awesome thanks for the quick reply. I was guessing it was the top.
Longer screwdriver will make your life easier..nice work.
Invest in an impact screwdriver. It's all you'll ever need.
I found a detailed and accurate project on the Stodoys website.
Splendidly to see Stodoys have new plans which helped me save some money and energy for this construction.
