This is… wow, I still can't believe it finally happened. Ever since their boss fights in Classic Lawls SSE series, me and I'm certain many Lawl fans have wanted an actual moveset for these two for so long, so it's such a major relief to say: You did a pretty solid job, dude. Rite off the bat, Scratch & Grounder feel at home in Lawl Odyssey, which in some ways reflect AOSTH in its cartoony tone and cast. Of course there's the robo bros themselves and Robotnik, but you also have an off the wall, reeeeally alternate version of a popular villain (Really nice work with BB Thanos‘s idle and stage btw), smart, loyal sidekick characters in Tiff & Tuff, and even a sloth in Gary. Other personalities like Charmx and Scott also work as they either react to or review off-the-wall media, and Jon helps counter the nonsense with his light hearted, everyman personality. So far, this cast blends pretty well with each other, whereas in Lawl D Kess, it um… seemed more on the scattered side. Not to say that's an insult, but rather to show you're growing as a Lawler and content creator. For the moveset itself, while I do wish there was a more apparent Risk-Reward factor to the kit, it still works out pretty fine. Scratch becoming quicker yet more susceptible to damage by scratching out Grounder is a pretty unique take on an Ice Climbers esque fighter, and by tying it to Neutral, what already served as a multi hittin trap, you have not one but two different ways to keep players on their toes. Side B was a tad odd because I was expecting it to have some more meat (which might be fruitless cause it's made of metal : P). like you could bait the traps with food to bring enemies closer for a quick heal when really it's a mean punish, Set Grounder to be part of the trap so it can either extend a combo or potentially backfire, or maybe even add an inflatable lady to it to cause horny status until its popped by an attack. A simple trap move though is usually better than an overly complicated one so it works. Not much to say on Up Special other than it compliments their separated/ team moveset pretty well. The custom work on Scratches solo boost was a small, impressive effort, although I do wish another explosion from the show itself was used and not Metal Slugs (which is a small nitpick, I know). The Down Special, Scratches especially, really fits their risk reward playstyle, as it can either help or harm their efforts depending on the situation --smh Doof couldn't have appeared for the Dark-Inator bit--. Lastly the Final Smash, a simple but stupidly destructive display of firepower that surely would make Scratch & Grounder‘s mother, err, maker proud. Cool cameo from another speedy animal too btw. There's a lot else to appreciate in this moveset. From one of the taunts referencing those infamous Sonic PSAS, to the very well cropped and in character victory animations, to whats easily some of the best animation and edits in your vids yet. The extra effort to showcase these two icons of classic Lawl is really appreciated, and made this all the more a warming, comforting moveset video. Thanks for doing right by Scratch & Grounder, here's hopin you're able to keep on outshining your past work, and that you and the worldbuilding in Lawl Odyssey continue to learn and grow.
I really like the idea of Grounder separating from Scratch as a special mechanic that changes the moveset. Also, the animation is pretty polished. You obviously put a lot of effort into this, I'm subbing.
These two needed a moveset, happy to see it happen, and it's a great moveset! I like the grounded mechanic, and god I want to rewatch that screen KO, that was a clever idea, hyped for john, also great cbb stage, best one I've seen yet
Jon: Garfield! I'm Getting A Moveset In Lawl Odyssey! Since You're In All Star Smashers, I'm Now In Lawl Odyssey! Garfield: That's Good To Hear Jon. Now We'll Have Our Own Separated Movesets.
This was really good! And I'm just not saying that because I got a cameo, heh Everything just looked really good, and everything made sense, fell into place, it looked really good, and felt really good!!!
I thought that the whistling part would have fit better for the victory theme, since it is the "Ending" of the loop. Or just the actual end part of the theme.
Mhhhh, Weird Creations, Yes. A Great Moveset, Definitely Yes!!! Scratch & Grounder Are one Wacky Moveset! (In a Good Way). Their Gimmick is Interesting, With Both Their, They Balance Each Other Out. (Minus their Recovery!) Without Grounder (Using Neutral B), Scratch is Floatier & Quick But, With Weak Attacks. Their Other Attacks were Very Great as Well! Overall, A Cool & Interesting Fighter In Lawl Odyssey!
This Is Pretty Good The Neutral B Is Nice Since It Came Form Sonic 2 Side B Is Nice Up B Is Pretty Cool As For One Of The Gadgets They Use I Think It Should Have A Circle In The Middle On Them (Like Ryder Said) Final Smash Is Pretty Nice I Loved Charmx’s Up Taunt Can Hurt People Like Luigi’s Down Taunt And Hyped For Jon Also Mind If I Cameo Them?
Coming to think about it, both Mario and Robotnik are overweight, moustachioed, and they both (Mario doesn't admit it, but I know he too) HATE THAT HEDGEHOG!!!
My Fighter Ideas: Guball (Guball's Fantastic Land) Austin Powers (Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery) PS1 Steve (Minecraft PS1 Version) Movie Grinch (How the Grinch Stole Christmas The Movie)
