Just the "view page info" tip alone was awesome, something I forgot about years ago! I did 5 of my sites in 10 minutes! Thanks

This will work with any theme. If it "appears" like its not working for you, then most likely you are using CACHING. You need to FLUSH the cache to see the change, if you are using caching. Some hosts force caching on you, if this is the case you need to figure out how to flush it.
Just tried with ObliqueBy Themeisle .... Seems they have a "hook" and still (as a beginner) seems impossible for me to change. Kindly advise if footer copyright can be changed or if I should "CAN" this theme. Thanks in advance.

Awesome, and a couple questions: 1. Can we uninstall Find and Replace plugin when done using it or is it always drawing on the plugins presence to have that Replaced code there? 2. If we know how to change the footer copyright in the customizer or in the code and now we also know this find and replace way, which way would there be one way that is best? Wow! This is so awesome! Actually, I do own a premium theme, but wanted to remove another piece of text which the theme added by default in the footer. It actually was "About me". Using this, I changed it to "About us". How totally Awesome!
I had some problem with the cache, it was preventing me to see the updates. So I just needed to delete it on the WP Super Cache plugin and then it worked like a charm! Thank you very much!

Yes I put a lot of thought into creating a video to show anyone how to do this, and I'm glad that you appreciated. Right now I'm using a paid theme called newspaper, I have a link to everything I use on the footer of my website. However I may be switching themes here very soon.

I just made the changes after watching this video. It worked. Thank you so much for this awesome trick. One thing I want to point out - the Add New Page editor is different on my version than what is on the video and that is probably because of the updated Add New Page editor since this video was published.
Very good. Another option that worked for me. Was to highlight the txt and go to inspect page instead of view source pg, which useally opens displaying the element. Then simply right click on the highlighted element and select Edit HTML, just copy that code and proceed per your instructions. All the Best
This is wonderful...which plugin that you use to slide SOME PART OF THE texts up and down in the video that says....THE EASIEST WAY TO LEARN WORDPRESS CONFIDENTLY "BUILD" secondly, or unfortunately this plugin(Real-time find and replace) doesnt work for GENERATE PRESS COPYRIGHT.......i av tried it and it oesnt work at all.
It should work perfectly with any theme. Just make sure you follow the steps that I did. But also there are instructions for the GeneratePress theme in their forums. He makes it really easy to do!

For others that are new like me tho, to bring up that search bar the "find" hit f3 when your on Firefox view source! And to copy in clip board means with you mouse like normal or CTR-C lol thanx again!!

It's actually easier when you outline the source then right- click and click "view selection source" it will highlight the codes that you need. But great video you are really helpful

Not sure if "flushing" the cache is the same as "clearing" the cache.. But you can easily do that by hitting Shift + F5, or Shift + click refresh...
That is the cache on your local computer, your website also has its cache on the server, that is what needs to be flushed most of the time.

Just make sure you clear your cache. Something tells me that you may be hosting with Go Daddy and that is part of the problem you're experiencing.

But one more thing. how about the seo? . I've ever read that when we use css to hide footer. we will get problem with google . I don't know yet the effect.
This doesn't hide the footer, it just changes what is there.
