Greetings from another RAF veteran. I’m recovering from hand surgery, and watching your videos is helping me overcome boredom whilst I am limited in what I can do.
As soon as you read "jambalaya" I knew where he was from... He's from the state of Louisiana. Jambalaya is a rice based dish with anything/everything but the kitchen sink tossed in! Good stuff! Funny how he sent you models of an outhouse or portable dunny. ;)
Yay! You got the world map, and you wondered if you'd be able to use all those magnetic clamps? :-) I want to mail something through Antarctica so I can get a whole area to myself on the map! Thank you so much for sharing your hobby with us. A happy hour in rough week.
Glad that you like the challenge coins and that they arrived unscathed :-) I went to the 75th D-Day anniversary with a friend for a sort of road trip a few weeks after you made the D-day special video and when I saw this one at Omaha, I just had to get it. One of the best holidays I had over the last years, many museums, a lot to see and learn (we are both history, particularly WWI and WWII enthusiasts - we also made a similar trip to the Verdun WWII battleground). The other one says Praha - Prague in Czech (its capital city) and the 60 is for the 60th anniversary of its liberation. As I wrote in the letter, it was sort of a small gift for those, who participated on that event.
Thank you so much Robert, I really appreciate you taking the time to send me these objects of remembrance. They are certainly going to be front and centre of my next challenge coin framed set! - Wish you well, Marty!
If I understood what you read, those resin items are Port-a-cans. That is, they are portable toilet stalls (or out-houses) as can be found on worksites and at many public events where there would otherwise be no public restrooms. In England, they'd be known as Port-a-loos. The small pip on the top is a vent stack and the raised panel on the front is the door.
You are correct, the Kubelwagen is the German equivalent to the US Jeep of WWII vintage. A modified version of the Kubelwagen; designated the Volkwagen 181 or 182, depending on the placement of the steering wheel; was produced in the 1970s for the West German army and was marketed to the public as the Kurierwagen in Germany, the Trekker in the UK, the Thing in the US, the Camat in Indonesia, the Pescaccia in Italy and the Safari in Mexico.
The little white blocks are HO scale "Porta-Potties", i.e. portable toilets for use at construction sites, faires, concerts, and other gatherings. They're normally a light blue here in the US. Those do look authentic, down to the vent stack on top. Cheers!
All tracks, tank, bulldozer or whatever would pop off while you were pushing them across the floor even right out of the box. As a kid i wanted the tracks to move while i was driving, the other choice was hold the toy slightly off the floor so they didnt touch.
OMG I'm dying @13:02 "I can do this". Whomever doesn't like unboxing videos hasn't seen moments like this. Quite literally crying and trying not to LOL in my cubicle. Thank you Marty!
Looking forward to see Marty paint some in the hire companies logos etc , even better drill one out and make the internals for it. Make some decals, m/f joint for one , koala for the other.
Thanks for the laughter, Marty! I caught your Fawlty Towers reference ("I mentioned it ONCE, but I THINK I got away with it!" ("Don't mention THE WAR!")
I enjoy the unboxing vids. I like seeing all the cars I remember and those I have never heard of. Also I think they have become an important part of what you do as it shows the inspiration you have given to other modellers and to show appreciation to those who donate to you. Keep em' going.
I like the unboxing videos too. I think I learn more than you do when you encounter something new or unusual. Please don’t stop making them. And it’s been shown scientifically that laughter is indeed contagious. Couldn’t stop smiling while watching this one.
The tiny orange and green cars in the last box could be made by Barclay. Came with a truck and flat bed car trailer. Glad you are keeping makeovers and unboxing all on one channel.
The Noddy with Big Ears wagon was part of a train set first made in 1959 by Morestone (Budgie) Diecast Toys. The set consisted of a yellow coloured train with Noddy as the driver and the wagon in which Big Ears should sit.
Anthony Taylor hearing the three of them laughing had me laughing. Then my stupid ass reminded it and watch it again. It was just as stupid funny the second time. 😂
Your laugh is infectious! I felt a bit of a fool sitting here alone and laughing aloud, but heck! I enjoyed every minute. Thank you, and I am glad that you are not splitting off the unboxing videos - they are part and parcel of your channel.
Another great video. The security truck had a box storage piece on the back with a three plastic dial combination built into the door to lock it. The code is embossed on the underside. It came with a trolley of gold and a guard as well. I owned one in the early 1980s
Thanks for the gut busting laughs Marty. This is one of your best videos. How can anybody not like your unboxings they are great Love seeing what people from around the world send you. Those cars that have the strange body's are sold at dollar stores everywhere they come in packs of 10 or 20 for a dollar We call them throw away toys
Pine Grove Louisiana. Jumbalaya is a Cajun food dish, with rice, meat(alligator, sausage or even snake). Porta toilets are used on construction jobs, to take a number 1 or poop
I really like the un-boxing as it is so interesting seeing all of the cars and unique gifts that are sent to you. I watch them on Saturday morning and they start my weekend off really nicely. I hope you will consider doing a construction vehicle tutorial like the D-Day one. It would be great to them restored into new condition. The crane and bulldozers are my favorites. Thanks for sharing your gifts with us.
Fantastic once again. "I can do this","Iam having a moment", classic. Poor Stan's letter, consolation on it is I think its provided the best laugh up to now. Its right about laughter been contagious. Keep up the good work. Would love to see the train done up.
Goodday mate! thank you for another great video. I for one am glad you chose this path for your channel as i see many tubbers bending there's and saying sorry for everything. Like our fast food service here in the states. I enjoy that you sir take time to teach us and laugh along. thank you crew.
The stainless steel tool is used for opening sealed electrical components, you can use it to separate car parts ie: body from chassis, instead of using a screw driver.
I like the unboxing vids, as I like Christmas and like to see what is in the box. So many variations of cars. Keep up the good work Marty. Look forward to the weekend video.
Marty the unboxing videos are an education and a bonus we used to have Saturdays and now we've got mid week as well to me that's as good as it gets we see what you got and we see what you do keep it up mate
Marty hi, such a great entertaining video, loved it, "the security truck" I had one similar, mine had a Safe like door on rear of the truck and locked with the 3 digit code the code is printed on the bottom of the truck you just held, Be fantastic to see this like new again, if its similar to the one I remember Love your films thank you.

Those white things are model PORTALOOS. The train is the Duke Of Connault steam train. Loved the laughing fits & my hubby keeps giving me funny looks cos I'm giggling along too.
Anybody not entertained by your laughter has a heart of stone. The XK120 could be restored with just a small half moon windscreen in front of the driver as was used in racing form.
Once again Marty another great unboxing video!! I love them. I love watching you opening your presents its like Christmas. Keep up the good work. Until then take care and I'll see you again. BYE bye.
First, I love the unboxings. Second, those are Porta-potties, aka porta-loos, transportable restrooms. Generally spotted at construction sites and festivals. The "unusual looking tool" is a spudger. It's generally for prying apart delicate plastic components without marring them. If I had a guess, it'd be great for popping basses off of cars without potentially damaging them.
The little green and orange cars are Barclay. They would have been on a car carrier made out of surplus window lock levers. The aren't that common in that condition and the green one is harder to find than the orange.
We are so proud of your decision to stay with one channel. We love all your antics. That shirt just kills me, I always wondered who was driving those cars. Lets see a shot of that map some time with pins locating all your contributors. We haven't laughed that much at a video for some time. Keep up the good work.
Back when I was a boy, when rocks were just dirt with aspirations, Tootsie cars could be purchased in blister packs. Tootsies last a long time because they are so simple and made from very durable material. I found one where my old sand box had been and though the paint was pretty bad and the axels were rusty, the body was in fine shape after more than forty years exposed to the elements.

Anyways I hope this info was helpful and I can't wait to see your next video
Laughter certainly is contagious. Thanks for a great start to the day.
At one point Marty starts to sound like
Riff Raff the dog. 🐶
When feeling a little down, I always turn to this video to brighten up my days and put a smile on my face.
Watching Marty crack himself up is priceless! Got too carried away with his new knife! So it's always 0 days without an accident!
