Thanks, nice vid. Do you notice any difference in accuracy between ACP& Colt? One you tuber reported that the trigger pull seemed to have more resistance with the ACP and moon clip. What do you say/ Thanks in advance for your input.
Thanks for watching my video! I didn't notice any difference between the trigger pull, but I did notice that the .45 ACP are not that accurate in the Ruger. I am still running tests. I will keep you informed on any findings. Thanks again!
n415df I found the same lack of accuracy in 45 acp as well. That's a long jump out of the 1.75 in cylinder to the forcing cone though. However, I bought it almost exclusively for shooting 45 colt so for me it's a non-issue. The accuracy is fantastic in my example with light and heavy +p bear loads. The windage is set dead center on mine and it hits right on poa. One problem I have had though is after running about 4 or 5 hot rounds through it, the cylinder sticks and won't turn without manually advancing it. I suspect it's either the spacing from cylinder to forcing cone is too close causing contact expansion due to heat or during recoil (which is brutal) the back of the rounds move back against the rear and drag on the rear of the frame. I've had it about 2 years now and had to send it back to Ruger brand new after only 12 rounds for this issue. They sent it back within 2 weeks and replaced the hammer dog (odd) which made no sense or difference. Timing seems to be fine, no evidence of shaving at the barrel throat and as I said, accuracy is dead on. It only does it with heavy loads though so it would seem that the hand is fine. I dunno...
Just an observation to make here: You are using your "auto-pistol" grip. Since you're using a revolver you should be crossing your thumbs behind the hammer. This will assist in your grip of the revolver.

Are you going to make any videos shooting the .45 Colt cartridge?
Had to return my .45 Colt back to Ruger. I have a new one.
I really enjoyed your video. You are a real good shot. Have you had any problems with your redhawk?
Thank you. No problems yet.I'll keep you updated.

Did changing the springs make a big difference in trigger pull or force?
Only a slight change. I wouldn't do it. Also you must remove it if you needed warranty work.
