    Can't forget the deep fried pond smelt or fish katsu. The crisp sounds make me hungry. Love izakaya.

    Do you know Izakaya? Have you ever been to Izakaya? If you come to Japan and if you can't drink like me, you can simply enjoy foods at Izakaya. Cheap date saves money. Even some kids eat out at Izakaya with their parents. hehe

    In my area code instead of edamame people tend to like boiled peanuts when they are in season. The variety of Izakaya foods here makes me wonder where my local pub went wrong. Thanks for the recipes ^^

    You can also stir fry the boiled edamame with some soy sauce and garlic to add a little bit more flavor. It's super delicious😀

    Thank you for these wonderful recipes! Could you explain what purpose the aluminium foil serves in the cooking of the fish? (about 4:37)

    • @ochikeron
      @ochikeron  6 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      that was a foil for a frying pan. it is not to let the fish stick on the pan and burn, especially when you use miso, you can easily burn it. it is easier and better if you have a toaster oven or a grill :)

    Hi i have a question here. Can we reuse the miso marination for the next time we make "grilled miso marinated fish" ? or is it only for one time using. Thanks for the great video :)

    • @ochikeron
      @ochikeron  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      yes you can but not for many times because it gets bad. before it gets bad, you want to use for cooking :) something like this one th-cam.com/video/bwwqnvuNnLc/w-d-xo.html miso soup is ok, too!
