- 32 Battalion was one of the most decorated infantry units during the South African Border War. Only the Special Forces Units received more medals for bravery, 46, to 13 Honoris Crux medals. It existed between 1975 to 26 March 1993 when it was disbanded. Three former members, serving at different eras, Kevin Johnson, Buttons Heyns, and William Schickering recollect what they experienced. Ek luister so na julle program wat my baie terug laat dink aan daardie dae toe ek by Buffelo betrokke was. Graag wil ek net sê dat ek Boeta van Dyk deel van die LTA groep was wat 32Bn gebou het. Ek was so +_ twee en n half jaar betrokke by die eenheid. Ek was ook 2014 tot 2018 in die toerusme bedryf en het baie toere deur die Caprivi gedoen ook baie ou militere kampe besoek met die toer groepe. @Ian Stanley Sorry Ian I was also part of the JMC group I was a good friend of Jakes He was the first casualty from our group to detonate a landmine with a Sandbag Samill 100 Was badly injured His feet got permanently damaged as a result of it

The ANC as a new government where shit scared of the unit and have put the battalion into Pomfret with no regard to health in putting them into an asbestos town and left them to there own devices
ANC took over after this happened, blame the NP, Koos
@@LegacyConversations how much truth is that with regard to the town? How close it it to an asbestos mine and is it safe? The ANC gave the excuse that it was too close, and so the ANC sent their thugs out to destroy the townspeople's property
