    Two of the three schools you mentioned aren’t in King of Prussia’s school district. King of Prussia is in Upper Merion Area School District. Valley Forge Elementary and Middle School are in T-E.

    Hi, I am from Brazil and I lived in Cherry Hill from July 2020 to August 2022. King of Prussia was one of the most places to visit on weekends for my family.. My family loved shopping there! Many stores, and great restaurants! Thanks for this video!

    Suggestions for videos: Media/Swarthmore/Wallingford (maybe media and nether providence?) Conshy, Oreland, Flourtown, Glenside, Jenkintown (Jenkintown being interesting because of it basically being in the middle of Abington but is somehow it’s own tiny township (borough? Like Hatboro I guess?) with their own police dept, school district, etc. I would love to know history on this and if it makes Jenkintown more or less desirable to not be a part of Abington?) and it would be nice to see a breakdown of what the “main line” entails, some of the ridiculously beautiful homes (if you have that type of listing).
    You should mention, there were no apartments, townhomes, etc etc in KoP until approx. 5 years ago.

      Thank you for the suggestions! I've been working on a lot of different areas lately to start getting back to weekly videos. Just got very busy. The mainline suburbs will be one of my upcoming videos. Are you considering moving to or buying a home in the Philadelphia Suburbs?

      @@livinginphiladelphiasuburbs I grew up in Oreland, moved to Media for 15 years, and am currently renting in Blue Bell villas? However, for the price, I am disappointed and am thinking of finding another 2 or 3 bdrm when lease is up in Feb. I would like to be closer to the city, Valley Green/Fairmount Park etc and have neighbors who are single and fun and be able to walk places. Also a pool (that doesn’t close at 8pm, preferably). Also, quiet time here is 10, even on weekends. I know my list is a lot but for the $2800 a month I pay in rent I do not feel i am getting my money’s worth. That’s Korman, though.
      I assume you are not a rental realtor however and I am not in a position to make a downpayment on a house. Btw, marathon mortgage, for what it’s worth, that’s my dad’s company (before he retired) but still doesn’t mean I can get a loan without enough savings. Renting is not ideal, it’s throwing money away, but there doesn’t seem to be an in between.

      @@215juliusgirl I do have an agent on my team that helps renters find new places all the time. If you would like help with finding a new rental, feel free to email us at phillysuburbsliving@gmail.com
      $2,800/month is a lot for rent. Depending on what you're looking for, and where you're looking, you may not need a whole lot of money to put down on a purchase. Happy to discuss options to see if it's an option for you or not at the moment. If not, we can get a plan together for you to work towards home ownership if that is your goal. Hope to hear from you!

      KOP is roughly 30-40 minutes from center city Philly. They have septa for public transportation (bus), you could always uber as well. I'm sure there are good airbnb's in KOP area. They would be listed on airbnb's site. Thanks for commenting!

    How is the healthcare field/hospital industry in KOP?

    • @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs
      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  10 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      There is a lot of career opportunity in the healthcare industry in KOP. CHOP (Children's Hospital of Philadelphia) has a hospital on Goddard Boulevard in KOP and there's also plenty of opportunity in Philadelphia which is just about a 25 or so minute drive. I am currently helping a family relocate here that is going to be accepting a position at Jefferson Hospital. Do you live in the area currently?

    I grew up in Broomall and have lived in the KOP area since 1995. We shopped in the old KOP Mall quite often, Gimbels, etc. and ate jumbo hot dogs at the Purple Cow. Regarding restaurants, wondering when the defunct Ruth's Chris will get reopened as something else?
    Some other random thoughts: traffic! deer! flash floods! Good choices in food stores with Wegmans, Lidl, Aldi, Trader Joe's and Giant all close by. The Oaks Convention Center is a 20 min drive with lots of big events throughout the year.

    For a population of only 20K, King of Prussia has quite an amazing list of restaurants. What gives? Must be people from surrounding suburbs that come there and it serves as a center point.

    Hi, i am from the land that used to be Prussia. There are many german townnames in the US (for example 9 Berlins) but the most funny gotta be "King of Prussia" how much do you need to smoke to call youre city/district "KIng of Prussia"🤣😂😅

      Named so because Prussia played a role in supporting the newly independent United States in it's war of Independence from Britain. Some Prussian military officers were instrumental in molding Washington's army into a well trained fighting force.

    Is King of Prussia a good area to invest in rental properties?

    • @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs
      @livinginphiladelphiasuburbs  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      You can find some good cash flow deals in KOP if that's what you're looking for. 44% of KOP residents are renting while the remaining 56% own their homes. KOP, Conshohocken, and Quakertown are decent options for rental properties. Feel free to reach out if you're looking to invest or have a 1031 that you need to put into something.

      No, the housing market is highly competitive, and the rental prices for homes exceeds the family market, which comprises the majority of the house market. The area is filled with cooperate rental properties in the form of apartments.

    I grew up there. Attended Upper Merion High School. A lot has changed since moving away in the early 1990s. Can't say I like the Town Center with its apartments - the area was almost exclusively single family houses in my day, and that Town Center reminds me a lot of Rockville, MD, and it's over-priced condos.
