Rudra is the lord of the wild animals and all things wild, strange or disturbing.
These comethrough Ardra, which therefore needs to seek control over them. Ardra
is ruled by Rudra, the fierce form of Lord Shiva who represents thunder - Thunder power
can make a person violent by nature. Native of ‘Ardra’ can be complaining and ungrateful.
The animal symbol is female dog (bitch) again confirming violence. This is a ‘teekshna
Sangyak’ Nakshatra, leading to destructive acts.
- Ardra is called atikshna Nakshatra with a gift from Brahma of “undefeatable power”.
Rudra is the lord of wildanimals and storms. Hence knowledge and power becomes a
double-edge sword used fordestruction.
- Ardra the earth is said to be starting its menstrual course that is "Ambobachi”.Arudra
means wet or surcharged with water, that is fat. Because the earth is running her menstrual
course there are teardrops falling one after another. From Rudra comes all suffering,
persecutions and oppressions, anger, ferocity of countenance or gruesomeness of noise.
Rudra is another name of Shiva, the "five-faced" [Panchaanana]. In knowledge, asceticism,
renunciation, as also in enjoyment, he is the supreme consummation of all desires. He is the
blue-throated one, the wielder of the most tremendous powers, what could not be
attempted, far less achieved by other Gods, when the churned Ocean at the time of
'Samudra Manthan' exhaled poison Siva achieved quite simply by holding the poison in his
throat [turning it blue]. On one side he is the symbol of the most perfect placidity and
serenity, on the other hand he is the symbol of all that is terrible. He holds the great serpent
on his head and on his forehead crescent Moon with his sweet-soft light. He is at the same
time the most peaceful and also the most terrible. And in all these are to be traced
the intrinsic characteristics of Arudra. On the surface of it Arudra stands for suffering,
hardness,cruelty, murder, prison, theft, adultery, etc. The root characteristic is oppression -

Going through Sade Sati, extremely tough 2.5 years for me now, waiting for the next 5. literally ran into numerous astrologers and ended up learning the whole being not satisfied with any or just nothing worked for me in my case.

Thanks for the remedy. My venus is Ardra for my leo asc. Currently running venus dasha and about to finish but i suffered a lot physically (health issue) and mentally during dasha however i earned well during first 2/3 of dasha period and left the job for spiritual progress. My spiritual journey started during ven- rahu period and got guru during this time after lot of suffering. Rahu is in 6h house ( 8 from venus/ardra).
Ketu in ardra nakshatra will practice spirituality in a way which is against regular way. Like i have ketu in ardra i used to seek blessings from avadhuthas who roam in streets whom people think mad. But in reality they are Avataaras of lord dattatreya

Sir I read somewhere that Moon in ardra natives are also drawn to occult subjects. I'm currently running Jupiter mahadasha, Moon AD and Rahu PD. Both Ju & Moon are in Rahu nakshatras (Ardra, Swati). Currently transit Saturn is over my natal Saturn of Shatbhisha Nakshtara also ruled by Rahu.
This explains why I'm excessively drawn to astrology since the last 2 months. It's become an addiction. It's crazy how my mind goes only to mysterious subjects these days. Wow

I have Ardra it makes me cry but the moment you make some wrongful allegation or try to push me down or doing some injustice try being my opponent I will tell you the real meaning being an enemy. I never back down. May be it is because first house mars in taurus. I have moon in Ardra and in second house. My brother is also Ardra moon and he was genius in chemistry but my science was above average at best. I was great in languages and maths. Even someone told me to always take maths in higher studies I did and my higher education was smooth. We both have fourth pada in it but we are not twins yet born one year and 16 days apart. Our names also start by same letter. There is a lot of difference in our personality too but we both suffer from cough related problem mine was by birth his manifested in teen years.

I have my mercury in mula right around 7 deg in D-1 and falls in ardra in D-9. Definitely a rudra/rudrani 1-2 punch :-) It has given me a highly independent mind with a focus on finding the truth and little blind following or consideration for societal norms.
