I think Protection is really good with Phoenix now. There's Come at me Bub to get a minion, the psychic misdirection, the psionic resource cards, her kit also can freeze a non-elite minion for psychic misdirection, or take control of a non-elite minion. Now with the Rogue ally, use her ability on the controlled minion, add a sidearm, and a protective training, and night nurse to keep healing her, she can go many rounds hitting for 4 and up.
Could you do a video about how you deck build? that's the area I struggle with the most and the pre-cons just don't cut it for most of the villains lol

Thanks for sharing your thoughts! I agree that Pheonix in aggression is so strong, even when not using dive bomb and honed technique. I will say, though, that I've enjoyed her in protection. Mostly using the non-exhausting defense cards that allow her to use her counters in the villain phase and keep damage to a minimum. Plus, the new defense resource gives extra card draw.
The biggest issue with Phoenix for me, is her kit lacks focus so it made trying to deck build for her pretty hard. I will say this was early on, as i grabbed Xmen first, and my knowledge of the game was not as strong as it is now, but id love to give her another shot, but all my good Xmen cards are tied up with the other Xmen heroes 😂 Time to proxy I guess
