Wait…the Canadians have a baking show?!!! Thanks, I must find it. I love the British one. Normally I decorate my planner while watching, but today I just watched. I appreciate your honesty and sharing when everything is not just an up and happy-clappy time. With all that has been happening within the past 2 years I err on the side of everyone is going through a lot. Please don’t worry about how we are going to take it if you feel a bit overwhelmed or down. As the kids say, “we have got you!” 🙂. Hope your hubby is okay and you guys escape the worst of covid. It is ripping through the UK right now. The gerbil story had me cackling, which I needed!
I'm so sorry to hear about all the stuff that got dumped on your plate these last few days. But you handled it like a champ also, love your neurographic art piece and how you incorporated stickers! And then the text. It worked out in the end.
Oh, Emily! I have STUFF going on right now & listening to your STUFF, remembering we all have STUFF is just what I needed. Take good care. Sending a rainbow heart army your way ! Thanks for you! ❤️❤️❤️🧡🧡🧡💛💛💛💚💚💚💙💙💙💜💜💜
I love your videos and I thank you for sharing what has become our reality. I live in Canada and I used to think we were all pretty nice but then covid happened and my faith in other people is at an all time low. My family and I are fully vaccinated and boosted and I’m not even worried so much about Covid but we’re in the same situation with low staff and over run hospitals so I get anxious about what happens if we need to go to the hospital and can’t get the help we need? All that to say that I completely understand the anxiety levels and add the gerbil drama on top of that and you need a stiff cocktail! Take care ❤️
I’m sorry for your rubbish few days ☹️ I’m hoping you stay safe. If it is any consolation my daughter caught COVID at school and none of the rest of us got it even though one daughter had stayed in very close contact (as in face to face) next to her for over 10 hours. Fingers crossed you will be all clear xxxx
I totally get the irritation. My husband is immunocompromised and very vulnerable and it just seems like people don’t care. And my faith in people is so very low right now. It’s hard to see good when you only see people doing what helps them, even if hurts others. We just stay home, we never go out. My husband has left the house maybe half a dozen times since March 2020. I can’t believe we’re here, either. I wish I believed in something, but I just don’t.
Don't apologise for being real in your videos! If people cant handle it thats their problem not yours. And everything you said about hospitals and everything is so true. I worry about my 90 year old grandma, even if she doesnt catch covid, if she gets ill with something else will hospitals have the room for her? I'm sorry your week was so stressful. Here in the UK Covid is raging too and our government is doing nothing about it so it's very frustrating. I appreciate your videos so much, I love hearing about your life and they inspire me to journal when I am feeling down and frustrated. It always cheers me up when I see you have posted a new video. I hope this week coming is better for you
@@EmiLou.Arts320 “Bad” is relative and different for everyone. Your “Bad Day” is just as justified as everyone else’s. In your line of work I'd have to think some of it’s cumulative and the Gerbil situation didn’t help especially since you were at work and couldn’t immediately help while it was starting. And I can’t imagine how work was that day even without the home situation unraveling. I’m happy you got it worked out and were able to journal it out. Self care is important. Something my life seems to be intent on teaching me these days as well. Coffee cheers this morning ☕️
Thank God we have each other, and we need to take care of each other these days. We will get through this. We are all here for you. You may think you are, but you're not. You always make my days better, so hang in there. Take care and hugs from us to you. Keep just being you!!!!!!!
Your story about the gerbils was like so spot on! Last week my daughter (10) woke me up in the middle of the night, because her hamster was very stressed. Turned out his cage was too small. Went to the store, bought a new one, which broke because it was glass, thankfully we could buy another one for half the price. Long story short, I just had to laugh so hard because you said you went through so much trouble for a little animal that will only live for like two years.😂 Hope you and your family will be ok and not test positieve.
@@EmiLou.Arts320 And I know you already saw my IG message, so I thought I’d post it here too. The name of the journaling you were talking about is Neurographic Art! Thanx again for sharing! Reminds me of an art journaling page I did.
Very good video in all aspects .. I really hope that your family does not test positive and if you do, that it is not a serious case of this horrible virus that has us all on edge. I really wish it would just go away. I am fully vaccinated booster and all and still worry every time I travel and then have to go around my parents. All three of us know what it is to have covid an's d to be hospitalized with it. Thankfully, and with God will, we came out ok except with some mild side effects. Keep your head up and your awesome sense of humor and everything will be ok ❤🤗
Your gerbile story was funny. I'm glad that they are doing better. I hope your family doesn't test positive for covid. Prayers! 🙏 Hope the rest of the weekend and next couple of weeks get better for you. Keep your head up girl! Love you!
Love your chats!! And NOOOOOO that is not weird (unless there are many, many, many of us) about the paper! I have heard SO many crafters talk about the crinkly paper sound, and I absolutely love it too. Blessings❣
I love the crinkley sound too! Oh, the gerbil woes. Hahahahahaha. There was a time when we had 2 dogs, a litter of kittens with 2 grown cats, anoles, a hedgehog and a corn snake. It was a crazy time! Thank you for the important work you do. I used to be a Peds echocardiographer and spent a lot of time in the NICU. NICU nurses are some of the smartest people I've ever known. It's such a complex job. I'm sorry to hear of your exposure and will be thinking of your family. I love your candidness. I've never liked chatty videos, but I LOVE yours. I became a greedy weasel today. :) Blessings.
Thank you so much for your wonderfully kind words Carole❤️ Thank you for all the work you did as an echocardiographer! My MIL used to do that as well, it’s is very interesting!! Now I have to look up anoles😂🤷♀️❤️
I understand your feelings and frustrations with Covid. I have a fear of being a carrier of the germs to other people who are less healthy than me. But how long do we put our lives on hold ? I'll be thinking of you.
I truly feel like you and I would be friends in real life if we both were looking for friends but who are we both kidding we don't do people in real life but if we did we both would play with stationary and have fun together..
My mom has covid but because she was vaccinated she is doing OK and at home. She yelled at me not to come to her house because when I got the first shot I had an allergic reaction then myocarditis so I'm an unfortunate case of someone who can't be vaccinated. So I'm thankful for all those people who have chosen to get vaccinated.
Colorado is the same with cases. I found out today 8 of my family members have covid and only three have been vaccinated! I just shake my head and pray they are all well. I hope you are all well.
WOW! You did have a crappy few days, and I’m sorry you had all that thrown at you. How’s your husband, did he go to the doctor? That sounds scary. Praying none of you got 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗. Love the video & we all need to vent at times.
Ugh! I feel the covid pain. My daughters fiancés family was over last night to discuss wedding plans. The dad on his way home started not feeling well he went and got tested this morning and was positive for covid 🤦♀️ but our whole family is vaccinated and we have our boosters except my son because he can’t get the booster yet. So we just pray for the best and hope we don’t get it. Hang in there 😘
Sorry you had such a rough week! I can identify with that sense of helplessness when your kids call you at work with an emergency! So glad you were able to construct a new habitat for the gerbils! I hope you don't end up with COVID in your home. Praying you all will stay healthy! Thanks for sharing that prayer and the Bible verse! We have to remember that God is in control. He knows what is happening and what purpose this will serve in our lives. We need to hold onto Him.
I had a babysitter when I was a kid hand me a piece of paper and a pencil and basically teach me to color like that because I said I was bored lol. I was the only girl she watched in a group of like 7 boys and ugh it was rough times lol. I had a lot of swirly colorful drawings like that back then. Sorry about the gerbils! A youtuber I watched had to do that with her gerbils several years ago. I think she was able to eventually rebond them but I can't recall them having drawn blood, though
In the next county over from me the hospital issued a letter begging people to get vaccinated. They have no where to put the sick. Short staffed. And the staff that is working is drained of energy. I’ve never seen a hospital beg. It’s very scary.
Where I live in Ontario Canada it’s a Covid disaster as well.I work in health care and my stress is through the roof. I took all my work home with me this weekend in case something happens and I get Covid again… yes again. I had it spring 2020.
So many beautiful thoughts here!! First of all, I will absolutely be checking out The Great Canadian Baking Show!! And yes…the sound of crinkly paper is Heaven! Okay…that’s was quite a story about The Gerbils-they both came out of the settlement okay!😂 And yes, what is worse…a gerbil with depression or death by the roommate!?! 🤣 I support 10 preschools, and this is the toughest times we have ever experienced. No matter what we do people are upset with us. We are simply trying to provide the safest places possible for our children who, at my schools, are too young to be vaccinated. Even when we are trying to do all of the right things, there are moments when it doesn’t seem like it’s enough. I agree, the uncertainty can be paralyzing, but we must be hopeful for our future. 💕 There is so much that is not within our control so all we can do is control how we choose to respond and meet each situation. We need to do our best, be our best, and yes, spread the good! 🥰💕❤️ Love you and your authentically raw and honest messages! Thank you, Emily!
The show is on TH-cam! That’s why we never knew it existed! And yes I feel so terrible for everyone in education. The complexity of the situation is mind boggling. It always seems to leave someone struggling in some way🤷♀️☹️

My goodness! You did have a traumatic few days. My boss texted me while I was in the room with my 94 year old mother that he’s tested positive. Great. Just great. We will all end up with new COVID stories, but your rodent stories are the clear winners!
I think so, we did see there was a sore that is healing. So at least we know there was a cause for the inflammation. It seems to be getting better. Of course he didn’t go to the doctor so🤷♀️🙄

I’m so glad she is recuperating at home. I’m praying you stay healthy Jayme🙏❤️
Colorado is the same with cases. I found out today 8 of my family members have covid and only three have been vaccinated! I just shake my head and pray they are all well. I hope you are all well.
Oh no, I’m so sorry Veronica, I hope they get well quickly😣❤️
WOW! You did have a crappy few days, and I’m sorry you had all that thrown at you. How’s your husband, did he go to the doctor? That sounds scary. Praying none of you got 𝗖𝗢𝗩𝗜𝗗. Love the video & we all need to vent at times.
Thanks for watching Shannon❤️ Of course he didn’t go to the doctor. That would be lunacy🙄
@@EmiLou.Arts320 , U G H men!
Hang in there 😘
Oh man, I am sending you good vibes that it skips you all❤️🙏🤞
Sorry you had such a rough week!
Thanks for the prayers Mary❤️ I hope you are staying healthy and hopeful😘
Indeed, all the begging doesn’t seem to even make anyone blink😣
Hi!! Where do you watch the great Canada baking show? I haven't found it streaming
The only place we could find it was on TH-cam! Just search for it and there are both seasons😘
I’m crying laughing so hard, thank you for the gerbil 🐹 story. I thought my life was bad. Thank you Emily
Haha, we’ll get through it😉🙈
I love everything about this. Love the art too! I hope everything goes smoothly in the next couple of weeks.
Thanks Traci❤️
Who in the world would have known that gerbils fight for dominance?!
Certainly not us! Google knew…🤷♀️😆
Where I live in Ontario Canada it’s a Covid disaster as well.I work in health care and my stress is through the roof. I took all my work home with me this weekend in case something happens and I get Covid again… yes again. I had it spring 2020.
On no, I am praying you stay healthy and we can all come out from under this oppressive stress blanket❤️
And just as I was nearly as traumatized by the gerbils splitting...ya' go and add the big "C" into the mix...dear Lawd...
I know, I know.
I support 10 preschools, and this is the toughest times we have ever experienced.
It always seems to leave someone struggling in some way🤷♀️☹️
Hi what channel is the great canadian baking show on??!!!
That’s the kicker! It’s on TH-cam! Just search it and you will find both seasons!🤷♀️😘
Lucky rodents: 1. you got them. 2. You kept them.
I love you, just sayin’. Sorry about anyone who can’t tolerate the truth.
Thank you Renee😘
Lol yaaaah canadians we are really nice and not just cause im from toronto canada
Ahhh poor addie and her melt down
My daughter allie is very much the same lol thank you for being such a funny but positive person with all this crazy shi* in the world we can get better and people like you shiw us that hope you all are feeling well and covid skips your family
I had that happen with my hamsters when I was a teenager. One didn't make it. It was tramatic for sure!
We did read that hamsters were better alone but gerbils needed a friend🤷♀️
My goodness! You did have a traumatic few days. My boss texted me while I was in the room with my 94 year old mother that he’s tested positive. Great. Just great. We will all end up with new COVID stories, but your rodent stories are the clear winners!
Oh no Kathy!☹️
No...it's funny. Crazy, but funny. Gotta laugh to keep from crying.
Do gerbils go through menopause? Lol
It was a flashback to living at home when I was 16 and hormonal and my mom was 46 and having a hot flash👿☠️😵
@@EmiLou.Arts320 Haha haha!! I understand!
Is your husband okay?
I think so, we did see there was a sore that is healing. So at least we know there was a cause for the inflammation. It seems to be getting better. Of course he didn’t go to the doctor so🤷♀️🙄
