Okay, i just don't know what the hell happened here. I follow Linuses creation for a long time, appreciating his skills as programmer, engineer, scene artist, but also as great musician. "A mind was born" was fascinating me from technical standpoint and i often revisited this video and i really liked the melody (not sure due to process of creation or "song" itself). Today - i've found this. And i cried, like a lot. There's something strongly emotional in piano sound, combined with certain notes it makes my eyes wet and nose stuck xD Thank you both, original master of creation and you, the piano adopter.
I have been playing around with this a bit, I really like it too. I've got a version in major key that i need to make HFR and then I can upload, would you be interested?
@@Anklejbiter dude, don't ask: - woman about her age - politician about truth - me if i want to hear another incarnation of genius :D i did subbed you, so i will know when you'll upload ;P
I'm glad I'm not the only one, brother. This piece of music means a lot to me and I've cried *multiple* times because of it. It's not a sad cry. There's a brilliance and a joy and a profundity to it and I think I've figured out why: It is truth! I'm not quite sure what it's saying; I'm unsure of what it fully reveals. But, I know that I feel the presence of God in these melodies.
I have to slip this inty my neighbours mailbox just so she starts practicing something worthwhile on that piano of hers. Any chance for a pdf so i could print more easily? (serious request :D) edit: This also made me cry a little, kinda awkward, but yea beautiful work!
musescore.com/anklejbiter/a-mind-is-born Click "Download" and select the file format of your choice. PDF is indeed one of them! (Normally I'd just send a drive link, but I'm running out of space. sorry about the inconvenience lol) I'm glad you liked it so much! feel free to check out some of my other stuff - I recommend "Theme of Skyworld", specifically the remake. I put a lot of work into it, and it turned out to be really good - I get frisson from the end of it. th-cam.com/video/YJB8TrhUCS0/w-d-xo.html
@@Anklejbiter that's so awesome! I've made a few music things but I used Hydrogen Drum machine and LMMS, I love the sound of this one so I'll have to check it out!
Cool!
I'm really glad you liked it! Thanks for stopping by :D
Someone needs to play this on a church organ and extend it a bit. How can such a tiny piece of information be so musical?!
lookmumnocomputer has a pipe organ midi player, maybe someone could mention this to him
its a few very carefully chosen notes in random orders. the bassline is somewhat hardcoded.
Even though i can't remember, i feel like this was exactly what i heard while i gained sentience

A Mind Is Born, I agree.
It should be named STRESS or mounting TENSION. It is the coolest little program.
I found this because the version on Hackaday amazed me so much. Quite incredible.
wonderful!
this is mental
I love this.
This is amazing.
Can you make Lunatico cover then? It's VERY emotional and it MUST be played on piano.
HOOOW???

What software did you use to make this? Or did you actually play it here?
Made it with musescore! It's like a MIDI daw, bu designed to work with sheet music. Very easy to learn! I also like the way it sounds, too.

ok uhh... i'm almost positive this song is not 32kb
the mscz file is, but it's essentially a midi track so it doesn't take up a whole lot of space
