  • Amazing conditions with visibility up to 30m! I was lucky enough to join my brother and his partner Jess in diving out of Coffs Harbour around the Solitary Islands.
We put a few super tasty fish onto ice, and the video finishes with me smoking up the kingfish to create my new favourite way of eating this wonderful species.
I hope you enjoy it, stay moist people.

Great videos mate. Well done on the fish and crays you are getting.
With all due respect though, naming and showing spots the way you are can be received as very disrespectful to the many locals who put so much time into fishing their local spots and have for a time a lot longer than you and I. Not only that but you will add pressure to the local fishery as people do pounce on seeing info like this. I have seen it first hand.
A good example of how videos can be edited is by the Aussie GOAT - Tim Mcdonald Spearfishing Downunder.
Just something I hope you may consider.
    Cheers

@@blakehale87 hey mate, thanks for the polite comments. Fair comments, and whilst I didn’t really consider any of the spots as unknown, you’re right it the fact that anything that increases pressure is a negative.
I’ll put a bit of time into working out how to blur backgrounds for future opportunities.
Thanks for the feed back and well worded comments, duly noted 👍

Not worried about big whites in the area? Its a bit known for it?

@@ADGNet I am certainly not a fan of sharks, but I also know it is part of the scene…. And I’m sure I’ve been close to many more than what i have seen.
My brother (in the clip) has had a GW >4m come in on him, thankfully without negative outcomes. We try to stick with a few basic rules to help minimise risk- dive together/buddy dive and get the fish subdued and out of the water ASAP… and try not to think about it too much..
