    Who are we?
Melbourne Bushfood specializes in sustainably and ethically source native Australian ingredients (aka Bush Food), sourced exclusively from Small Farmers, Wild Harvesters, and Indigenous Communities across Australia.
    What is Wattleseed?
Wattleseed is the seed from any edible species of Acacia (or Wattle). Known for its pleasantly nutty flavour, this Australian beauty is sourced primarily from Acacia Victoria (Don’t know it? Yeah, don’t go foraging please!). Workers collect the seeds en masse through a combination of manual labour and machinery which are then roasted and ground to produce a deliciously compact spice that can build flavour portfolio with only a teaspoon. Think of mixing hazelnut, and chocolate - this is what Wattleseed is.
    What is Bush Food?
Building a better future requires that we preserve our resources without jeopardizing our way of life. Australia's indigenous plants are not only delicious, but are nutritious, gourmet and require less irrigation, fertilizer and chemical use than the traditional non-native plants we eat daily.
Each plant comes from ancient wild stock allowing significant genetic variation and unmatched nutritional content and flavour. It's nature's natural nourishment without GMOs, just as intended.
They're better for you, the planet, and our children, so the real question is: why not?
