Thank you for joining me! I'm so glad we've got progress, it definitely felt a long time coming! but this is the first step to a bunch of other progress I reckon! :D
I'm so glad that you can see your vision for your home 33:40 coming along. I know how frustrating it is to not be able to accomplish a project on your own. It is wonderful that your brother can help.
Had to laugh at the plastic protective layer, my husband fusses me because I left the blue plastic on the chrome ends of our new refrigerator shelves. I told him they would keep them clean and scratch free for a while. They finally started to peel a bit and I took them off. The fridge is 2 years old lol.
Lol, eventually I wouldn't mind putting some sort of wall paper in some spots internally in the rooms, so I will have to get it off, but it was such a time consuming thing and we were already on a time crunch!
My husband still makes fun of me because I left the plastic on our little dressing table stool for the first about 5 years of our marriage 😄 Hey it looked brand new in year 6!
Happy Easter Nyssa, Darryl and family. The new addition is coming along nicely but probably not fast enough as you would like. You are doing an amazing job with what you have, and I look forward to seeing the finished project.
It definitely feels long winded, but I think this step really puts into focus the stuff that we need to do and that D and I can get in there and get it done and finished without assistance, that was the hard part, with just the two of us (and me not so great on ladders) getting those roof panels up there etc was really hard work, and not safe, needed that third person here.
You can make caramel sauce in a slow cooker. Add cans of condensed milk into a slow cooker, cover cans with hot water (not boiling), put lid on, turn slow cooker on low heat (must be low heat) and leave overnight or 8 hours. Works a treat.
Yes, this is sort of a sped up version of it :D we dont' have the power to run the slow cooker for that length of time, not at the moment anyway, so if I can find alternate ways to do it over heat then I've been giving it a go :D
It's against the rules to cook in the can in any fashion. We simmered it in deep water coverage for several hours and never had a problem. Don't think I would do it now--seen too many calamities!
Its going to be amazing when you get it finished. Well done to james for all his help. Is there no one from the church that Darryl attends that can help also? Extra hands is always good 😊
It will be amazing, and we are very grateful to James! The church Darryl goes to is quite small, being that its a small population and a variety of denominated churches avail :D. He is more inclined to help out there than people to help out here, but we'll get there! :D

Really random but where is your glass coffee mug from please?
hrmmm, they could have been an Aldi buy, or ummm maybe, baccarat, because I think we bought a pourover from them at one point and grabbed cups at the same time. We've had them a long time!
Not a fan of the music. I much preferred the voice-over. Enjoyed your journey and thankful I was invited.
It's not something I do a lot of :) But was just so busy that getting time to do a voiceover too wasn't happening :D
Why don't you sell the metal
I'd prefer to keep anything that may have a use in our 'pile of stuff that might one day be useful' than to sell it :).
