    Agreed! The springy afro way better. What i even notice for both hair. The springy twist holds more hair in 1 strand (its more full) than Ghana. Plus ghana knots alot for sure

  • @stasht1
    @stasht1 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Latoya, Which twist technique are u doing? are you rope twisting or just normal twisting? When i tried, my twists were coming out too stiff or just unravelling if I did it too loose.
    Also...can you just do my hair plz... 🙂

    • @lymingwithlatoya
      @lymingwithlatoya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hi Tammy,
      We can make arrangements for me to do your hair😇
      Please note that I did the regular twist, just maybe tighter than the norm.
      You should not rope twist it, that will make it stiff.
      Just twist it as how you would twist your regular natural hair.

  • @khadijah3343
    @khadijah3343 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Hey latoya, wanted to ask if you found that the texture of both appeared the same?
    Also, how do you ensure the twists are even and look 'springy'. I used pre-fluffed hair (similar to the ghana twist hair) to make the spring twists and even though I like the style, I found that sometimes I would either have to twist very tightly in order to get the defined twist or use less hair lol

    • @lymingwithlatoya
      @lymingwithlatoya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Khadijah,
      The texture are different. To me, the Ghana is course and tends to have a plastic look. In addition, after two to three weeks, is started looking horrible
      The Springy Afro twist I like more as the texture is soft and even after having it in for a while, the hair kept looking natural. After about four weeks, I redid the hairline.
      To install both hair, I twist each softly. If they are twisted tight, it will not have the fluffy look but more rope twist.
      As it relates to getting all on the same length, I did nothing special, I just use the same length right throughout.

    • @lymingwithlatoya
      @lymingwithlatoya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Ramona,
      Let me apologize for the late response.
      I love in Portmore and so I purchased the hair at a little plaza across from the police station in Gregory Park.
      The hair store is on the second floor on the plaza above the NCB ATM machine.
      However, I also saw the hair at Cherry's hair and more at the intersection/corner of Half Way Tree Road and Balmoral Avenue and also at their other location at Springs Plaza in Half Way Tree.
      It can also be purchased on Amazon.
      😊

    Do you rotate each sides immediately before twisting like rope twisting?

    • @lymingwithlatoya
      @lymingwithlatoya  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Hi Nadia,
      I didn't rotate each side before twisting. The hair forms a nice fluffy twist when you just twist it naturally.
      I think if you rotate eash side before twisting it, it will look more like rope twist and be too firm.
      I hope you understand my explanation.
