  • Clutter is a real enemy. Clutter can keep us from enjoying our families and homes as it takes up our time, can rob us of our joy, can add stress to our lives and takes up our living space.

    I love that you ask us to think through, list and breakdown the uses or desired uses for each room!

      Thank you so much for watching Roseanne - that simple tip has been such a help to me to keep order and make it easy to keep things tidy.

    Yes, I can relate, with cards & notes, pictures & paperwork. This is my toughest declutter area. Thanks so much! I often think I am so glad there are no papers to file in Heaven! looking forward to that!

      Rosanne - yes - love that thought of no filing in Heaven. So many things we have to look forward too.

    When I am helping someone with the baby steps of decluttering, I suggest starting with their storage areas. Closets, dressers, basements, garages, even drawers, etc. Create space in the storage areas for the items that will come out of the other rooms. Otherwise, you may end up adding more stuff to a closet that has no space to put it. Storage areas are also usually smaller areas, so it doesn't take as much time but it gives that sense of accomplishment and motivation to move on to the bigger things.

    I found you by accident and love your podcasts and shared them with my mom and sister. Thank you for what you do.
    I wonder if you have any podcasts about home improvement?

      I’m so glad you’re here. Thank you for sharing xo. I don’t have anything on home improvement but mostly Homemaking and the areas we deal with in our lives as Christian women.

      @@Thankfulhomemaker thank you for your response. I love all of the podcasts I have listened to so far. Those podcasts are helping to change the way I look at my work at home. We have lots of repairs to make at home and not a lot of money to hire someone to repair them. I thought that maybe you would have some good diy podcasts. 😊
      Either way I am really benefiting from the podcasts you do have. I am really looking forward to going through the sermon on the mount series. I am going to pair it with Michelle Lesley's bible study on the same topic. I can't wait. 😁

    What do you do when you label areas but your husband doesn't pay attention to your labels?

    • @Thankfulhomemaker
      @Thankfulhomemaker  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a bit tricky and you know your husband best as to how to best deal with it but having to put them in the place you'd like them to go just takes a few seconds so I might just do it myself and not say anything.
