its true what was said from 22min to 30, The music quality has completely fallen off, the consistency of tracks dropping has also fallen off, even amongst artist dropping good music, and 3, the Blogs are defiantly to blame because they focus more on posting Fkery then music. and become too money hungry on the same promo they recycle for every post. The only blog that has remained true to music has been TorontoRappers. the rest of them just post bs and feed off of it. and it directly translates into the music. No ones making songs anymore, it's just words on a beat. nothings being said. I've watched the Toronto scene since 08/09 and it's been on a steady decline since 2020. all of it as a whole.
If Toronto wants to have a proper hip hop music festival it cannot happen in Toronto. Let it be the end of it. Organize something with the Americans and have a massive 3 day event in Montreal, or up north somewhere like The Bruce Peninsula. A nice location, well organized, a decent entry and stay package and 🖕🏻 Rolling Loud TO. Make a better one.
If Toronto wants to have a proper hip hop music festival, Toronto needs 5-10 artist all make and release quality albums/mixtapes within a 2-5 year time span. A catalogue of 30 songs and having only 5 of them be fire...is not to the way to make a scene for any kind of music...Im not paying $hundreds of dollars$ to go to a show to hear 5 minutes of music.
