Just found this channel couple days ago.. thank you for the posts. It honestly helps to know I'm not the only one who goes through this stuff.. it's absolutely horrible.. anyway I just wanted to leave a comment not knowing if it will help anybody at all but I'm going to try lol I just came from McDonald's and I got a frappe and I love those things so needless to say I have a problem with always giving myself a brain freeze lol but there was something I noticed, My episodes are in season since the 23rd of this month I've had two episodes per day. I was drinking my frappe at the end once again and gave myself a brain freeze, noticing that the brain freeze starts exactly where the eye pain is for the clustering migraine, brain freeze is caused by the sphenopalatine ganglion nerves, which is a group of nerves near the trigeminal nerve in the brain. These nerves are located behind the nose and the nerves that also cause headache pain. They’re designed to be highly sensitive to pain, presumably to protect the brain... Now I'm not sure if the cold helps others but when I get my episodes I get loaded with ice packs and try cold showers.. I've noticed that's something with the cold definitely improves and helps. I know doctor just someone who's trying to figure out why not only I but others around the world have to suffer in such pain so if anyone out there can use this information please do. Best luck to all of us 🍀🍀🍀🍀🤕

I've used a frozen bag of peas, I think the cold shrinks the blood vessels and numbs the nerves a little.
