4500 subs in mid June - nice! The removeable well house was interesting, but what holds it down during tornado season?? I enjoy the ride along and seeing the countryside. I've been back and forth across Okla a hundred times, but all I ever see is I-35. Had relatives who farmed near Enid but I don't see the red dirt out where you are.
I will start doing more of that, I really enjoy that part too!!! So the wellhouse has 4 bolts inside that anchor it to the concrete base. Works really good, and makes it nice to work in, at least that one, because it was very big!
What was stuck on electric pump pipe extract? Stuck at top? Guess little wind does not keep you from setting mill!!!! Bummer you didn’t get that on video! Great video. I’m catching up on channel post since I’m new subscriber as a week or so ago!
So it was silted in. Sand had covered up the pump. Even the pressure tanks were full of sand. Crazy! Yeah we miss so much good content, but we were really new to the videoing of it all. 😀
What is a rough cost estimate in your area to replace a well pump and storage tanks like those? My well system dates back to the early 90s, and my local well company quoted roughly $8K to replace the pump and water line in a 135' well and an old bladderless 200 gal galvanized tank with 2, 100 gal bladder tanks. There already is a patch panel in the barn roof above the well room to pull the pump and pipe. They would also need to cut up the old galvanized water tank to remove it before installing the 2 new smaller tanks to give us the same storage capacity. Just trying to understand if that sounds reasonable or not price wise. I understand different areas may cost more / less. I'm in the Pacific Northwest.
Recommended by Puddin. Looks interesting. Subscribed. Windmills and Wells. Things used in my neck of the woods. I'll be watching

Do you charge extra when the customer “helps” out? Cool segments of your various jobs in this “week in the life.”

Well, around here, depending on pump and other variables, $4000 or very close to it. Easy job. Very little labor in that job, mostly parts.
wind is what happen when you live on the pararie.
Yep!!!!! 😀
