Gorgeous pen! Thanks for showing it. Urushi is such a wonderful medium. I was impressed with the line variation from the EF nib. Astonishing deal, by the way, for you. My best pens gray ink is Jacques Herbin Gris de houle. Nice shading, super well behaved.
I love your enthusiasm. It's a pleasure to listen to you talking about something you love. Oh, and the pen is gorgeous, I can really appreciate the craftsmanship that went into it. Reminds me of the detail and labor that goes into making mechanical watches. Warmest regards from a mechanical keyboard & watch nerd! P.S. I recommend putting links to your social media in the description boxes on your videos.
Omg that color combo (midnight red) has me drooling 😍😍😍😍. I just need to say I loveee your videos!!! You are my goals! A cool lady with a dragon hoard of awesome pens! Is there a chance we will ever get a desk tour?
I will create a desk tour probably next month because I’m actually packing it all up and moving in a couple of weeks! I’ll have a bigger office space to spread out. I have a lot of pens! Hahaha, I’m obsessed!
I must have told you this before, Vanessa, but you have such great taste in pens and I love your naturally playful, friendly vibes. I like Taccia pens a whole lot. But I have only three, all steel nib ones: Spectrum, Spotlight and another I can’t remember the name now. They are all excellently made and write wonderfully. I’m very happy to own and use them. Their premium, gold nib (and limited edition) models are priced quite sky high, sadly. Your pen here is a terrific looker and hugely tempting. But you’ve already stolen and scored the deal of the year on buying it at the price you said you did. You have my undying envy for that. It reminds me a lot of the red Nakaya Decapod Twist pen that I’ve ordered recently. And which I will only get in hand, possibly in December this year. Taccia’s nibs from Sailor are a big draw for me. Is the converter on this pen also a Sailor one? I like the steel nibs very much. But I’ve been meaning to get a gold nib Taccia for a while. Not all of the designs or looks appeal to me. But some of them I dig greatly. Kudos for getting this Taccia pen for yourself. It definitely looks like a cutie and a keeper. ❤️
Thanks so much for your kind words! I can hardly believe what a deal I found this pen for!!! I had to go for it! Unfortunately, the converter is also Sailor, but that’s not enough to stop my love for this pen. I know what you mean about the Sailor converters, they are small, though this converter seems a little bigger? Maybe it’s my imagination?
Ha, I meant what I said about you. Always enjoys what you do and how you do it. I actually don’t mind the Sailor converters at all. I have sixteen Sailor pens, all with converters save one. Your converter must be the standard size, I’m sure. Yes, small capacity (a minor let-down esp. on my three large KoPs). But I have no complaints. I only have two EF nibs (both vintage pens) in my entire collection at present. This Sailor EF looks very nice in the writing sample. And Sailor nibs are anyway (along with Aurora’s) my absolute favorite nibs ever.
Struggled with not getting Taccia (saving myself for the nakaya). Agree that it is so weird they don’t do ebonite feeds. Why why why???? Fuyu syogun I love in my nettuno 1911. But Taccia I is are great too- very Japanese. Shading & dye/ based. Ainezu which kinda like the fuyu…. Blue/black grey.
Beautiful pen! So happy you landed it! Enjoy!

I'm not into the pen community at all, but i love the vibe here, i love to see people exited about things they love
congratulations such a beautiful pen/work of art . btw very pleasing to see your colour co-ordinating matching shirt/lippy combo! All class!
I love color coordination!!!! I bought a Taccia pen roll to match that arrived after I made this video ❤️
Your pen purchases lately have been off the charts amazing!

I like tine spacing--looks like a very good nib from pictures.

She’s a good cat. That’s what you’d expect. 😀
You might want to amend the name in the title.
Thanks, done. Glad you caught that!
