    It's been a long, long time since I ever went through Rowsley, Patrick (not on the road, but by rail!). The village itself has beautiful buildings, and the scenery where you did your walk is extremely inviting. There's very nice views all around that district, and your day was grand with that sunshine. I think that If an area has beauty in winter, when all the leaves have fallen, then it's most certainly going to be a treat in summer, with the trees in bloom. Nice one Patrick, and many thanks.

      This is just up the road from me again, so a nice local one to film. I love all the seasons as the same place never looks the same each time. Thanks Ffranc for watching and commenting 👍

    Hi Patrick. This will make you laugh. My wife and I decided to do this particular walk today as we thought it looked a lovely. We temporarily lost our bearing’s regarding the route but a passer by put is back on the right track. Later in the walk we actually used your video on my phone to check we where on the right track. We found our selves watching and walking the route along with you and even humming the music as we went! Keep up the great work Patrick.

    Fantastic place. Being from a city I didn't really appreciate the Peak District while I was working in Matlock. Since lockdown started I've been living in Corse Lawn, Worcestershire and I must say, I now love living in the countryside. Peace and quiet 👌Loving your films which are very informative 👍

    I was thrilled to see another post so soon. It really reminds me of last of the summer wine. It's so lovely and laid back. I live by the fosse way in Lincoln so i see lots of walkers, especially as their is a nice country pub not far along that has ales. I see you are picking up subscribers and hopefully many more. Thanks for your time and effort and happy belated birthday wishes Patrick. Cheers.

    Good to see you out in the fresh air Patrick the best place for you and us all. And fancy meeting your friend. It was nice to hear of the Wye, which I've known of for some while. It certainly heralded another splendid walk. The donkeys wanted to walk with you hence their misery. Naah, they were beautiful as was the Chatsworth estate. It's big! Well, thanks Patrick. Have a great week. Mark

      Hi Mark, yes it was nice bumping into Paul and his wife on this walk as I hadn't enjoyed not seeing people during the lockdowns. Fresh air defo the best place, I know you'll appreciate that Mark. Guessed you'd probably know about this River Wye in Derbyshire, not *our* Wye of course - this only runs about 20 miles I think - but it still passes through some lovely places. I wanted to take those donkeys home with me as they were looking really sad! 😊 Anyway thanks Mark, always good to hear from you. Have a great week too. Cheers, Patrick 👍

    Hi Patrick. I am not familiar with Rowsley or this part of the Peak District so was nice to see somewhere different. Although I have visited Chatsworth House. Lovely melody for your music nice easy relaxing to match the pleasant walk. Really enjoyed watching. Best wishes Shanita

      Hi Shanita, yes this was close to Chatsworth House, but I'll feature that in a future film. Glad you liked the music, that is another version of my Peak District melody. Many thanks as always for your supprot and for taking the time to watch. Have a good weekend 👍

      Rowsley is on the right angle point twixt Chats and Haddon Hall, check the bridge remnant if you go, literally in the back garden of the Grouse & Claret.

    Another fab walk and video Patrick. I think I’m following you around the Peak District as I walked part of this exact same area last Saturday. It’s the closest part of the Peak District to me so I spend a lot of time around these parts. Great to see you back enjoying the Peak District air, sights and sounds. I can’t get enough of the place and wish I could afford to retire too and spend more time there. By the way, thanks for watching my recent video. I did see your kind comments but for some reason it wouldn’t let me reply to it! TH-cam gremlins I think 🙂

      @solitaryrambler  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks Anthony, I certainly have been enjoying the great outdoors since restrictions have slowly been lifting. I'm susprised we've not bumped into each other in that case, sure that'll happen before long 🙂 No worries about your video, I've had those TH-cam gremlins myself where I received notifications of comments, but when I go to my channel, they've vanished. All the best 👍

    I’m originally from Chapel but have lived in the USA forever. We have lots of wild areas here, even in NJ where I am now but the difference is that everything is covered with trees here so when you go walking all you see are trees with a rare overlook. Admittedly it can be spectacular, especially the Delaware Water Gap, however in the Peak District you get to see the views so much better as a lot of the hillside is open due to sheep and cattle farming. Needless to say I really like going walking in Derbyshire when I visit it is great.
