You can also do AMRP for one set & then regress the variation to knees on the ground and then do one for set that way AMRP…… in a few weeks, you’ll definitely see progress! Keep it up! You’re doing great!
One thing I learned is the idea that effort/difficulty is based on your own fitness level. So, for example if you do 10 sets of 2 you’ll get the volume you’re looking for. I would say rest one minute between sets until you need to rest 2 minutes. Keep increasing the rest time for whatever much you need and eventually with consistency you’ll get there. Keep going, I’m rooting for ya 😊
The main thing like in everything else is to not to stop, even when you are struggling a lot. I started doing barely 5 - 10 at the beginning. Now I am doing a 200 per day sometimes 400 a day when I feel full of energy. Let me give you some tip. Buy yourself a push up board. That thing make miracles, it tightens your body much more faster and efficient than the regular push ups.
You’re getting stronger as your form was much improved, the first five or so your upper body strength was better than when I saw you a few weeks ago…also maybe do some on your knees when you hit failure, just to help you get a few more knocked out
I hope you continue because I know YOU CAN do this. Just don't quit it entirely because like the old saying goes: All good things take time. Once you get strong enough to start repping them out and reach your goal of 20 consecutive reps, you will feel a sense of accomplishment.
I agree that doing 2 sets of 10 would probably help you. Whenever I do wall pushups or girl pushups I always do sets and take a 30-60 second rest in between sets. I find that it helps my muscles to rejuvenate before the next set.
If your motivation is low you have to handle with your mind before than your physical We have the same problem, I know it's discouraging..... love you 💙
10 sets of 2 reps each is "no bueno" , i would say something like 3 sets of 8 reps each and 3 minutes of resting in between each set. Lack of motivation + hesitation = "yesterday you said tomorrow" , so don't take that chance and instead just take action and don't negotiate a way out of it in your head. (i typed this with my sticky greased up hands caused by the Cheetos that i'm eating).
tbh you do really good! it feels like you're disappointed with how many you can't do, instead of being impressed with how many you can do; sorry if that sounds condescending or like a fortune cookie lmao
Don't give up. Sets are the best way to advance. That is what they taught us in the military.👍

The way you do them (chest touching the floor) is actually so hard! I normally do 30 per set, but I tried it your way and I struggled to get in 15.

You should try do 5 or 6 when you wake up, i used to do the same but behind the back pull ups, worked my way up to 20
