My ex wife and I do not get along but as I speak right now, I sacrifice my time and deal with their mom's mind games to be in my children's life.
I helped create them. I am responsible for them, even when their own mother loses sight of their well-being with her drama. I didn't run off and get married or get a new girlfriend. I stayed single and fixed myself. Defeated my demons, and now I'm a better man for it, and in being a better man for it. I stand to be a pillar of stability security and unconditional love for my children as they grow older. It's been a long, psychologically hard road, but it's been completely worth it.

If you truly feel she has some issues, how about some empathy and compassion, not the labels of "drama" and your superior attitude. And when i would ask the response was trash.Like how you too busy for the kids but called outta work to chill with me . Terrible ...He had a 1 bedroom apartment but had 2 kids . How ? His priorities were trash so I removed myself from the equation.

Trust me, this is happening to non-Black women as well. My father, who happens to be Black, was never good to my Arab mother, and he hasn't been a father to me or my 3 siblings in decades. Like Brian McKnight's daughter mentioned, I, too, have not received a call for even my Birthday in at least a decade. The one time he did call, he admitted that his wife (3rd wife) was the one who saw that it was my Birthday on FB and reminded him to call me. I was crushed when he told me that so nonchalantly. The whole time my parents were married, he was abusive to my mom and us kids, and when my mom finally left him, he blamed her and told us that he should have married a Black woman. Fast forward 2 more failed marriages to Black women, who left him for being abusive, and he continued to deny that he's ever abused any of his wives. And although he admitted to abusing my 3 siblings and I, apparently, he treated his 2 kids (who are fully Black) from his second marriage very well and regularly flies across the world (he lives over seas) to see them. They have no idea about how badly he mistreated us. And aside from the abuse, I've never seen a penny from him since the age of 18. It's almost as if us older kids don't exist, and he just keeps "starting over". I really think that guys like that are narcissists and they just think that they can keep reinventing themselves and their lives, so that they don't have to think about how badly they've let their "previous" family down.
