Yea, the feeding tongs I currenttly use for my spiders I got about 4 or 5 months ago, and they're holding up fantastically. And I have an unnecessary amount of stickers from them 😅 I always just add stickers to my order since they're so cheap.

From what I've heard it changes even with uv a I've had that one and thought it was legit for a long time I did finally dish out the money and buy the solarmeter and I. So glad I finally did

When buying a group of things I like to draw a pic of them & what it is for it helps when shipping takes a while to get to you . I am not a vet but I love military surplus items. So I have to be careful what I get not to scare my wife or neighbors and still have a use for it

Oooh oooh the dragon carry Buy the Zippered one I got the black grey and red one it's absolutely awesome and I have that fleece one too it was a gift on Xmas lol however I deff think I like the other one better it's got much more room inside for them and it has a spot where they can see out and breathe lol instead of them automatically going to sleep when they are in it

If you pop the top off the green suction cup bug feeder they can use it and bugs still can't escape I have several of them and I love them and the reptiles do to but the top piece pops right off for much easier access

I think the only time I ordered on line anything was from Petco was Mazure tortoise food and that was over year ago got the 20Ib bag for one tortoise. I like seeing what I get in person. But glad you share this for those who do buy online. I feel the more you buy online the more stores close locally and people lose there jobs but that may just be me but I have seen increase of stores closing.

I’d love to shop locally, but no one local carries anything I want/need. 😔 I feel like that’s the real downfall of brick-and-mortar: poor selection and/or outdated stock-especially outside of major cities. In the past… many who lived outside of population centers either had to drive hours away, buy inferior products, or go without. The only way some small businesses lasted as long as they did (prior to online shopping)… was because they had a local monopoly, and their customers had no realistic choice but to buy from them. 🤷♀️ I almost think of *that* as an unethical business practice, albeit of a different sort… 🤔
@@wraith1320 I have asked at stores about getting things on specially pet store's and they listen and order them in and that's the mom and pop stores. So don't be afraid to ask.

My roommate bought that same drone for my husband and it is a bit tricky to fly lmao. The camera quality is super not great BUT! it works 😂 And You know what that's more than I ever expected out of a $15 TEMU drone. That being said you get like 10 minutes of battery out of that thing before it dies so it is fun to fly around outside for funsies but isn't really useful for actually capturing anything due to the horrible battery life lmao.
Haha glad it wasn't just me! My dad got it and immediately flew it with no issues - but he has so many drones, so he's got years more practice than me. 😅

@@ellesreptiles Hahah not just you, its just not the easiest thing to fly and I'm convinced sometimes it just chooses not to listen 😂 My husband is getting better with it though and its fun to play around with! Great video oh also I actually ordered a heat bulb from them to see what it would look like it was a 75 watt bulbbut they had 25 and 50 watt as well I left it on my shelf for awhile until the other day when the bulb I use to help warm up my invert room went out so I threw it in when looking at the box I realized it said it had uvb and uva as well as heat which I obviously was like hmmm yeah ok lol I didn't think it wud actually have uvb and to my surprise I had it on for a little bit and pulled out the solarmeter and I habe the new one the 6.5 and to my very large surprise it absolutely had uvb now I don't know how confident I feel in the quality of the uvb it wud deff be more for like a crested gecko or leopard geckos enclosure as it was about 2 to 3 on the meter around 6 inches away but I only did a quick check and wasn't really measuring the distance but still I was so surprised I did also notice some of my arboreal tarantulas sitting out near the light I don't have it on any specific animal however just pointing in the general direction of my tarantulas and Dubia roaches to keep them warm I was super shocked and still am as well as with the heat it put off I was shocked it's a lil halogen bulb inside of a regular like i think it's called e26 bulb ya know the normal screw in size bulb so I wouldn't suggest getting it wet however in a pinch it absolutely something worth having on hand to help if a bulb goes out and for 2 bucks I mean u can't go wrong

Springtails! Also (if species permittable) make sure you allow the substrate to dry out a bit. So if it's a gecko, try spraying just the leaves of the plant (for your animal to drink from) in between full mistings

I’m getting a leopard gecko next week and I’m going to be making my own substrate. I’ve heard you need to use excavator clay, if so do you HAVE to use clay in with the soil and sand? Is it ok if I just use topsoil and sand?

Can a gecko use a huge cork round as a hide? Its not really a round more like a giant hollow cork ball with some openings in it. I kinda wanna use it as it is but the inside is a little rough, so wondering if i should smooth it out a bit. I know they probably run into that in the wild but still thought i should ask.

Hey I have a question I’m looking for my first snake and my options are Kenyan sand boa I love their looks and rosy boa really good eater and ball pythons very good with handling and western Hognose because of looks but I heard they have moods and corn snake really easy to take care of what do y’all think I should get it will be my very first snake
Just a heads up that Temu engages in unethical labour, their prices are cheap for a reason (it's all wholesale, mass-produced tat), and they also steal people's designs, artwork, etc. They've also been reported to data mine customer's information. It isn't a company worth supporting.
I totally get you accepting their sponsorship, you need to make money, but it's worth researching who you support in future. A lot of TH-camrs have been refusing their sponsorship for a reason.
Ive heard sooo many situations of people getting their card numbers stolen after purchasing from Temu on top of the mass labor!!
I’m really disappointed she’s supporting these places as someone who loves animals idk how she isn’t aware of what these places negatively contribute and how they are a problem with environmental pollution and the fact they use straight child labor 😢 she can do all this research to keep these animals, but can’t do the research of who she is supporting as a sponsor😂

Temu is run with slave labor and is generally an excellent example of the abuses of capitalism. If you believe it is important to maintain a healthy and happy environment for your animals, perhaps humans deserve the same? Supporting TEMU does the opposite of that.
Just what I was coming here to say. It's an easy Google search to find LOTS of articles linking Temu to forced and child labor.

I use the card thing. The closer to the bulb it gets darker. It just tells you if you there is still UV present. I can't afford a meter yet so these help me.
You may as well throw the card in the garbage because it tells you nothing about the UVB wavelengths your reptile needs to survive. It reads UVA. It isn't a cheap alternative to a solarmeter, the same way a ruler isn't a cheap alternative to a thermometer. It simply doesn't measure what you think it is measuring and is the wrong tool for the job.
I bought a couple of snake enrichment items from Temu but the rumors of Temu tracking your activity and stuff I deleted my account. I liked what I bought though!!

Well special thanks to you. I just put in an $80 order of a reptile equipment with Temu!!!! The prices are really low, very curious to see what I get. I mostly ordered plastic plants, cork bark, and Driftwood. I also found one really cool hide that looks like a rotten log with moss and mushrooms growing on it. It was so cheap!
The trick with Temu is to be careful with the measurements: read the product description carefully But the prices are so great! I’m excited to get all this stuff. more clutter!
Please wash anything and everything you give to your animals after you open the packages
Man I love temu. I got hides and decor off there for nothing. As well as bunch of tools, and drill bits, and a full refund when things were late.

Hey I am sorry but Temu is a really not cool place to support just like shein the items are so cheap, because the people making these items are underpaid and overworked please do some research it’s really not a good thing to preach and these places and it’s pretty common knowledge that supporting these companies contributing to the fast fashion and poor ecological conditions due to constant cycling trends that are so cheap to shop at are a big contributor to pollution and fast fashion, these places are not great to support and are just looking for cash grabs yet they get so much money from people who can’t afford to shop at other places that’s why I preach for thrifting if you really want stuff from shein just go to goodwill it’s cheaper anyways they use child labor and poor working conditions… just a heads up this stuff is all backed up by evidence anytime I go to thrift stores nowadays there’s just tons of shein on the racks and it’s all stuff that is cycling through trends and then when people don’t like him anymore, they get rid of them and then when the clothes arent sold they just go to landfills filling them up and we all know how long it takes for clothes decompose and just anything from these places in general as someone who is a small reptile TH-cam please do better and educate other on why it’s not good to shop at these places….. and how it’s hurting the environments probably of a lot of the type reptiles you keep and their natural environments. Yes, we gotta do what we can for the Reptiles we have in captivity, but what about the Reptiles in the wild how the air so bad for them in the living conditions in the world and global warming as a whole
