I was planning to drive from NJ to Virginia Beach last weekened for some personal matters. The one way trip would have taken 8 hours from EWR to NOR... Rather than wasting time by driving, I opted to fly direct instead. The trip only took 45min from wheels up to touchdown.... I was pleasantly surprised that the CJ700 was capable of flying just as fast as it's cousins, 737 and a320s... and even their bigger cousins.. 550mph max speed! I was also surprised the bigger variants can even fly long haul, NY to HKG! Not bad for a little plane that could!

Loved this review, having not seen a review of the new economy on AA on the CRJ this video was quite useful there. Also loved the views of the Charleston Boeing factory!

I just flew on an American CRJ700. Aside from the scratched windows making near impossible to look outside, I was impressed with the plane. They feel like a hot rod compared to 737 or an Airbus 319 on takeoff. Seemed to gain altitude really fast.

I was on a UA CR2 pre pandemic and I thought it was fine for the length of flight... Which was a 40 minute hop from SAN-LAX. I saw on the board while deplaning that the plane was continuing to Missoula Montana, I would literally rather drive or take greyhound than fly on that thing from LAX to freacking montana. I expressed my condolences to the passengers in the boarding line and proceeded to get on my 757-300 connecting flight which still had IFE at the time (ex continental seats). Definitely leaps and bounds better for pax experience.

I’ve had some pretty positive experiences with American over the past year. When I flew their first class from Atlanta to Los Angeles I had a fantastic experience with them and the crew were particularly great. The seat was just OK and that was the Kodiak seat so I can imagine that the original oasis seat is terrible. I then flew Skywest on a CRJ 700 from LA to Sacramento and that was not nearly as good as the flight attendants were not very nice. Finally I flew there oasis 737 from Dallas to Atlanta and the seat was very uncomfortable but again the service was great.

Tbh, I just flew back from NYC to MSP via Chicago on American when this video came out. Tbh, my outbound flight to DCA before heading to LGA kinda had the same thing go on that you had for this flight too.

I think the 700s are fine but I much prefer the E-170s and E-175s- bigger windows, bigger overhead bins so no need to gate check most bags, and great upgrade odds on the E-175. Anyways, great video as always, and I'm looking forward to the United video.

Who are you trying to bullshit?... I flew from South Bend, IN to Dallas, TX (in November, 2021... a 2 1/2 hour flight) on one and I felt like I was in a sardine can. There was no place for me to rest my head, no way to recline the seat or stretch my legs... The worst flight ever and by the way, we didn't get any free snacks... On my return trip, I grabbed a non-stop flight back to Chicago in a airbus and drove back home in a rental car.
