I was sad to mis so much of the dialogue and plot because of the missing translations in the 2nd half of this movie. If you can understand chinese it's a really nice movie.
This is a great “Reborn/Revenge-plot”-story with good actors and a storyline that is slightly different than usual in the characters being different, like FL being a Princess by birth and ML not a Prince. I loved this flirtatious/smart/sweet FL and calm/suspicious/nice ML. Sadly, the subs are partly broken (from around 1:40:00) so some details are lost. Other than that, this is definitely well worth watching. SYNOPSIS - SPOILER ALERT!!! After being rescued by him, FL sees her Eunuch husband (ML) of ten years being killed by the same man, the Emperor (2ML), who also killed her brother and her father, the late Emperor - and then sold her to a brothel. All for the Tiger Tally, FL is in possession of. She is adamant in not handing over the military power to such a scumbag, so she deliberately smashes the Tiger Tally and then joins ML in death. Fortunately, FL is reborn on her 18th birthday. That day, her father helped her pick out a consort for her - the man (2ML) who later killed everyone she cared about. This time around she insists on choosing the Governor (ML) - much to everybody’s surprise. Despite her father being against it since his status is too low, she gets permission to keep ML at her Palace for the time being, awaiting a final decision on the consort-matter. Wanting to repay him for rescuing her from the brothel but not treasuring him in her first life, and wanting his help to kill 2ML before he is able to kill her loved ones, she makes an alliance with ML. With him as her backer and the help of her highly skilled personal guard, FL starts dealing with the rotten apples among her staff members - and 2ML. Well, this has a happy ending.
This is one of the best!! Love love the couple! Just sad that we couldnt see their wedding or at least get pregnant at the end but they are still together and that is what matters!!
