What if instead of authorising universities and colleges to conduct llb exams where no uniformity is there in pattern of exams, Bar council of India should set exam papers at their own, i.e. one nation one exam. It would help to improve quality of lawyers and also help in reducing corruption at institute level, where people gets degree of law without much efforts.

​@@shikshame8561yes you are correct but if bar council itself conduct llb course whether it is for 5 years llb or 3 years llb then there would be no requirement for bar council to conduct again aibe exams since, exam papers would be set by bar council itself at all levels of llb course. Moreover institute of company secretaries of India, Institute of chartered accountants of India and Institutes of Cost Accountants of India also conduct professional courses and exam papers are unique all over India and everyone knows the quality professional come from these institutions. so I think it would be in the interest of legal profession if Bar council of India itself conduct llb course

There are a LOT of reform suggested by legal luminaries, that is, senior advocates, barristers and members of the judiciary. Almost none of them are taken into account whereas the quality of legal educarion is depreciating at such a brisk pace that almost no student is eligible for practising in higher courts or appearing for the better of all examinations barring individual talent. Most of the colleges are against students practising which is essentially the foremost service envisioned by the course itself and the syllabus is formed in a manner that it only perhaps suits academic aspirations albeit that too of not greater standards!

THE most important reform is changing the exam pattern itself. There is hardly any point in remembering or committing sections to memory when the object, interpretations and case laws and application thereof is hardly understood or understood in only the slightest detail. Such exam pattern is prevelant in judiciary, college exams and job exams as well. There is no point is asking what article 14 is if the interpretation thereof or the inconsistencies thereof along with judgments are hardly read and/or taken into account. Open book test based on application based questions which is the pattern for most NLUs should in fact be made uniform across all private and state universities.

I request Prime Minister of India to please legalize and modify some changes in the study of LL.B. Almost in all the developed countries, the education is provided on-line, through correspondence or in a distance mode. Please allow this system in India, and I also request the BCI to please allow those students when they pass the final LL.B. exam to practice as lawyers.
