Thrust Vector Control | Rocket Hold Down

  • This video is about the second and third hold down test.
    As a reminder, these sorts of tests are conducted for gathering flight stability data, as well as testing the overall software reliability.
    In comparison to the first hold down half a year ago, things finally started working.
    The thrust vector control (TVC) corrected, the rocket remained stable, and the parachute deployment worked like a charm.
    The third test had major issues, but you will see them in this video!
    As the issues are not related to the flight capability of the vehicle, a flight test will be the next step.
    Therefore, stay tuned for the upcoming weeks and months!

    That's some really good progress!! The telemetry software is super versatile and seems to have smoothed out the testing process quite a bit! Prosuction value is 10/10! Can't wait to see the launch :)

    Good test ,a advice to you that avoid gears straight connect servos to tvc

      @@jmspaceR see if it's a gear then there would be some amount of friction which would reduce speed of reaction ( TVC) so connect servo with help of iron rod to TVC .Which helps to make quick movement.

      And. Try to make TVC controlling in a different manner than other like how L Shang did

      @@aathithyapandian8006 I see, but that is a system everyone uses and which I think is also not as precise. I have tried some kind of system like that before, but for now I prefer the system I am currently using!

    Actually i want to sya something if you want a very stable TVC then you need some data like thrust,inertia etc which affects the value of pid gains .

      Actually @ t-4s, so that the rocket would lift of at t-0s. The rocket has a pre burner from 4sec

      @@jmspaceR Why is that? Doesn't that reduce the flight time of your rocket by a significant amount?

      @@CoronaFighter_ during those four seconds the thrust is extremely low as it is only a pre-burner. I don't know why you should buy an engine with a preburner, but I did ... For the launches that followed I used normal engines.
