Gateway Classic Cars of St. Louis is proud to present this 1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan!
For the 1941 and 42 model years Chevrolet offered these vehicles with their ‘Victory Six’ 216 CID inline 6 engine. Power output for 41 was rates at a whopping 85 horsepower at 3,300 RPM (courtesy Wikipedia.) This particular example runs and drives incredibly well. This vehicle doesn’t feel like one that was left sitting neglected. It seems like a vehicle that was maintained and driven with reasonable regularity. The car appears to be in mostly survivor condition, but we are betting is has been repainted at least once.
Gratefully, the electrical has been upgraded to a 12-volt system with a modernized ignition coil. This makes starting the car a breeze, and much easier to maintain in our opinion. This car leaves little to be desired. It can be enjoyed and showed off in a survivor class, or used as a solid foundation for whatever hot rod creation you see fit! The radio has been tastefully update and now features AM/FM bands.
1941 Chevrolet Deluxe Sedan is for sale in our St. Louis Showroom and can be seen in great detail including 100+ HD pictures and an HD video at www.GatewayClassicCars.com. Great good-looking car!
I live in Sao Paulo, Brazil. In the 1970s I was in college and met two gentlemen who told me stories.
    1. A friend of my father spoke about his father, who in 1941 had just acquired a brand-new 1941 Chevy. Then WW2 arrived and gasoline became a scarce product. Our government stated that only cabs and utility vehicles were allowed a supply. This way, he kept the car parked in garage, on easels, but once in a while he would buy, in the black market, a quarter of gasoline and drop it directly in the carburetor to make engine work a few minutes. That lasted until the end of war.
    2. With one of my professors happened the same. But his father decided to use gasogene, derived from coal and wood, transformed into CO and CO2 when burned. So he placed a enormous burner and tank attached to the rear bumper and drove around town. The humorous part was that the low calorific power of gasogene just could not help the car go through the most steep streets in his hilly borough in the city. Every time his father attempted to drive up, the car stopped and came backwards!

things change. youre talking about a car thats closer to 100 years old than it is new! sometimes things need to be changed/updated per the owners decision
