Plot: One day, twins Hello Kitty and Mimmy are delighted to receive an invitation to Princess Flora's birthday at the Castle of Dreams in Solveig Forest. The only problem is, that neither of the sisters knows where the mysterious forest could be! Kitty and Mimmy fall asleep after reading about The Legend of Solveig Forest and wake up to discover a magical train outside their house that takes them to their destination.
Once Kitty and Mimmy reach the kingdom, they're surprised to discover the land looks gloomy and frightful, unlike the Solveig Forest they had pictured based on the storybook they read earlier. A knight informs the girls that a thief known as Zarad stole the Golden Crown, a prized heirloom that determines the fate of the forest and its inhabitants depending on the heart of the one who wears it. Since the day the crown was stolen, the castle and once-lush forests have deteriorated and left Princess Flora in a grief-stricken state that leaves her bedridden.
From there, Mimmy and Kitty are determined to set things right, and together they go on an adventure to retrieve the Golden Crown from Zarad, who may be a lot more than the powerful monster he initially appears to be...

Also known as Hello Kitty no Mahou no Mori no Ohime-sama (ハローキティ魔法の森のお姫さま) and Hello Kitty y sus Amigos: La Princesa Durmiente, this film was also dubbed in English as Hello Kitty and Friends: The Sleeping Princess.
In the English dub, about 9 minutes of footage is missing from the full cut of the film including the train ride scene that features Gator Gags, a confrontational scene between Zarad and Gohra, and various cameos of Sanrio characters towards the end of the movie.

I believe this episode was a bit more action packed than usual
well when compared to the dub of course it was

I always found it odd that we never saw the king and queen again after supposedly “taking a sleeping potion”, but now it makes complete sense. And it’s probably just as well they made that change. Still I don’t understand why they cut out the train sequence and the ending of Kitty and Mimmy waking up again.

I'm pretty sure if the Sanrio OVAs were redubbed today, a lot of the cut content would be restored, including the mention of the king and queen dying of heartbreak. Maybe they also cut the train scene because of Gatorgags?
@@FantailCookie Probably. I also noticed that some of the antagonist's scenes where his body was shown (alongside his gruesome defeat) were cut as well, probably for time due to it redone as an episode instead of a movie or something. Also, it'd be hard to have it redub since Harvey Atkin who did the villain is no longer around.
Thank you for posting. I think the Sanrio animes are wonderful, because some of them I grew up on, and some of them I am discoverinbg for the first time!!
I got plenty of them on my channel, and I hope to sub more Sanrio anime in the future!
