    Bitlocker is commonly used in a business for data protection but can also be used for personal computers. A 256bit layer of protections is free and easy to use.

    After watching your resume video I adjusted my resume and got 3 interviews for help desk. I got 1 offer and started last week. After months of getting no responses. Only thing is this is my first help desk job and this help desk job has way more responsibilities than I expected. Feeling a little stressed and overwhelmed. But I feel very lucky to get the job. Learning so much in just 1 week. Thank you

      Congratulations on the new job. Every new job is stressful until you get used to it. Just keep taking notes which will make the job a lot easer.

    *cobuman* I tried to bitlocker my C drive, but once i saved the key, the task was completed instantly. I got no message to put a password or PIN.

      You can try to change the password by going to Manage Bitlocker. You can search for it in the search bar.

      @@Cobuman I canceled Bitlocker but i think it started encrypting without the notice icon. Then i turned it on again, directly from the partition p(right click) and then the procedure went as you described.

    what if someone dont steel the harddrive but steel just the textfile. for example if someone get access via teamviewer and just save or copy an important file?

    • @Cobuman
      @Cobuman  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      In that case hard drive encryption does not help because computer needs to be unlocked for you- when using the OS. So, don't give any remote control access of your computer. If they already copied the text file then it's too late.

      @@Cobuman no one copied i just want to know what to do to protect my files also if someone gets access to the computer. is there nothing to protect also files?

    Can you reimage a hard drive if its encrypted or will it ask for the key first? Also, are there any differences for the user if enable bitlocker on 3rd gen vs 6th gen cpus?

    • @Cobuman
      @Cobuman  ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, you can format/delete encrypted drives. Bitlocker is software based so it's the same for all CPUs.

    Also, if computer is improperly shut down, it will ask for bitlocker recovery key.

      Good tip. Yeah, and it can sometime break the master boot record.
