Thanks for the great video! I really wish RV dealers would offer monthly maintenance workshops specific to unit types (eg, tt’s, motorized, popup/hybrids) one could take for a reasonable fee. I’m a hands on learner! Also older; also while some yt vids out there some folks are So Fast in how they walk through things (Not saying you!). And even IF you get a bunch of manuals for your unit, they are clear as mud & some contradict each other! The only new unit I ever bought I Did get a good walk through on how things worked . . But Never instruction on needed routine maintenance . . It’s sad really.
Many valuable, simple to do and necessary maintenance tips, Izzy, thank you. Hopefully the literature that comes with most RV's includes these items, but I can't recall seeing a reference to the water filter, so glad you mentioned it, I will check this. We had an odd thing happen a while ago: we initially thought the mixer valve in the shower broke, as it wouldn't release any hot water, only cold. Though we ordered a new mixer valve, I just couldn't believe these things could break. It turned out the hot water side of the valve was clogged with material, similar to the water filter you cleaned in Nellie. I soaked the valve overnight in a little CLR and presto, problem solved. We keep the extra valve in reserve in case it is ever needed. Can't have too many spare parts!
Hi Izzy and MJ great video as always. I never knew to do any of these things the water pump and the slide. And all the rest. Thank you so much for this video. I appreciate it.
Great tips! Liquified Products are Awesome! Thanks for doing videos like this for us Newbies helps keep us one step ahead of issues. Thanks for sharing!
Treating rubber bushings and rubber bumpers so they don't dry-rot. And here in Minne-snow-ta where they dump salt on the roads all winter, I refresh the undercoating every fall (I use Fluid Film) and I also use WD-40 Blast to spray inside every door frame, the backside/inside of wheel wells, along the bottom of the body, and the chain mechanism that holds my spare tire under the bed (as well as that wheel). It attracts dirt, but it repels that salty water. My truck is 3.5 years old and the only rust is on the exhaust pipes (I painted the exhaust system with 5000°F paint, but it still gets cooked and chips off, so there is rust, but it's spotty).
I just bought liquefied using your discount code yesterday!! Can’t wait to get it. Thanks for all the great info! Happy Camping and Safe Travels!! ❤️❤️🙏🏻🙏🏻🐶🐶🇺🇸🇺🇸
Your fresh tank needs a good power flush. Does your rig have a 1.25" quick dump valve on the bottom of the holding tank? Our new 5er does so I empty after every trip to eliminate the chance of that jelly and sediment like your filter showed. I also sanitize every couple of months.
Great video as usual! We have a 45’ high end luxury DP……insanely nice but complicated, some days I think we should downsize and downgrade to a smaller and simpler gas unit. Something that isn’t so complex.
Beings that is coming from the freshwater tank would it help that filter out to clean the fresh water tank regularly? We have a 2021 Newmar Kountry Star that has the same slide out system you have on the inside of your motorhome. Do you lube that too?
Remember your house battery terminals. I also lube my windows, especially the sliding windows, to prevent the seals from drying out, along with the awning legs.
You don't have a Canned Ham Trailer on your hats or shirts. Whats up with that? lol... I have 6 vintage trailers and I love them all. With the ShurFlo pumps the filter is glass so you can see it easily.
is there a place that gives ALL of your discount codes for all products or do we have to check each video for discounts for those items mentioned in THAT video?
Probably the maintenance that no one ever does is their BRAKE FLUID. Unless you have a system with DOT5 fluid, which I don't think any RV's do. There's a $20 pen tester to check for moisture in the fluid, which rots out the system and degrades braking. And a $20 set of 50(?) paper dip strips to test for copper. If you have water in the lines, the first sign of trouble to come is high dissolved copper frim inside the brake lines. So about every 3-4 years, test for moisture, and as it increases you may need to flush all the brake fluid every 4 years. Don't believe anyone who tells you to do this every x years, TEST IT and only do it if needed.

Time to clean out your fresh water tank. If there's no access port on it, how hard is it to drop it out?
More work than I want to do
We sanitize our fresh water tank with Purogene and citric acid. It was developed for the aviation industry.

Hi Jim. In the description of each of our videos you will find all our discount codes.
Make your RV great again.
Here's a tip to save you thousands on your motorhome I learned this week. Don't accidentally punch a hole in the radiator.
😮 yes good tip
Ouch.

We had all our fluids flushed this year 😉
Fire suppression?
The black take will not liquify in a week or two by the time you dump it. FALSE claim
It does in days
