I think that comparing the number of views a certain movie gets doesn't necessarily means that it's greater than the other. I understand if you didn't like the film, but it goes beyond being revolutionary in cinematography. Orson Welles changed the form of filmmaking and storytelling by the use of flashbacks to narrate Kane's life, which was something rarely or never before seen for such a big production. At the same time he ditched the "invisible camera" technique used by major Hollywood films during the decade of the 30's and early 40's, (before 1941), and introduced never seen before camera movement that was not only visually stunning but complementing to the story and the actions happening on the screen. Just my opinion though.

It insists upon itself.
@Randy White The Godfather is definitely his best apart from maybe Part 2, and that's a strong maybe. You may like other films more, but it's certainly his most "perfect" film
Peace… Shalom… Salam... Namaste and Thank You Everybody for All that you are doing to Heal our Mother Earth 🙏🏻 😊 🌈 ✌ 🌷 ❤
So overrated
Citizen Kane is an old persons movie.
Overrated movie
Nah, it’s the #1 film ever made so your opinion is wrong.
Agreed, it's not the worst but it's only considered the greatest for the technical aspects and the way it was shot. If you want to see the actual greatest films of all time, look at imdb's top 250.
@@joe13shankLol IMDB list is a joke , not even worthy of to be taken seriously. That List is voted by ordinary fans born after 1990 not cinema experts . Majority of the movies in Imdb top 100 are released after 1990 to 2000s wheras golden age of cinema was 1940 to 70s which most of the IMDB voters are not even aware about . No Chinatown ,Lawrence of Arabia , Sunset Boulevard in top 100 but The Dark Knight , Matrix and Inception make in top 20. Recently a Bollywood movie 12th Fail make top 10 in this hilarious IMDB list
Thanks for spoiling. Now I will not need to watch the movie anmyore. At least not with the impact, that it should have on me.
@Randy White how should I know? It's about getting people to watch the movie. A spoiler is the opposite of what I would expect.
A video that caters to the serous film buff can be forgiven for assuming they have seen the classic film, especially one that has been around for almost 80 years. Since it's not a who--done-it, it doesn't really matter if you know what Rosebud means (I have heard it mentioned in various contexts, much like "I am your father"). There is a wealth of treasures still to be discovered and enjoyed.
Maximilian Belmont it’s isn’t really the story or the plot twist that makes this movie great. It’s the technicalities and the contributions it made in pushing the art form forward. I find it is a requirement to look into film history to fully appreciate what this film brought to the table. I happen to think the conclusion to this film is the least interesting part of it.
Dude, the movie is 80 years old...you gotta be kidding me
