I do not think AI will be something that is going to take over our world anytime soon. I think it is such a newer thing that has to be more developed. In the industry I work in people say they WANT to be able to have that person-to-person connection. The only thing that I was not a fan of in your description of ONLYFANS is the quote "" in order to make a lot you have to be popular." I'm going to respectfully disagree. Doctor Hawking was correct. There is no more existential threat to humanity than AI. Not necessarily via "taking over" even. Even tasked AI can have enormous effects on Labor and thus on our political economy. Something that I Included in my graduate work in the 1990s and again in my post graduate work, was the example of United States Steel. In 1980 they produced the SAME number of metric tons of steel that they were producing per year, within a few tons, in the late 90s. The difference was that in 1980 they did that work with 200,000 workers and in the mid 90s, using very basic robotics and tasked (and actually very stupid) AI, they did it with 20,000 workers. Other examples abound. In fact, the "flight to cheap labor" was always temporary. President Biden has managed to breath life back into U.S. manufacturing, but it is temporary. Yes, they've added 800,000 factory jobs and over 30 major companies have announced investments in new plants and equipment in the US totally almost half a trillion dollars over the next 5 years, not to mention jobs elsewhere in the economy in greater numbers than we can fill, NOW. AI is continuing to advance, Chat GPT 4.0 is MUCH better than Chat GPT 3.5 (for a lot of detail on that, see the articles on Medium by Adam Morse, J.D.) Now they are teasing Chat GPT 5 coming in a few months. Attempts to have AI write code, to this point, have not been successful in a meaningful way, what about the engines 5 years from now? 10 years? What about AI control systems that render the human workers in the new factories that companies have already committed to building, obsolete? What about the continued automation of clerical staff? I remember when I was assigned a secretary, of my own. By the time I retired a little more than a year ago, our BUILDING had 2 secretaries. I could, and did, send out hundreds of personalized emails, and sometimes snail mails, by myself, in a bit more than the time it would have taken me to assign the work to my secretary. Art may be right that medicine is immune to this, at least in the short and medium term, but many many many things are not. Either we have to develop a new model for the political economy (new things of value, etc.) or it is not difficult to foresee, in 20 years, the dystopian world of cyberpunk - with 10 to 20% of possible workers having jobs, fortified towers and estates for those who have careers, money, and hope -- and outside those enclaves a wasteland of second class citizens and ruined lives - similar to what you see in some developing countries now - and perhaps the pool from which such human security as is needed to reinforce the robots for the elites is recruited. In 50 years? ... .... "Do we really need those people?" I've actually already, in what I'm going to call "polite society" heard that question. "We'll be able to replace workers soon, what do we do with them then?" From a mid level executive in a company attending a soiree held by a friend of mine, who invites friends and business associates. I am of the former, he was of the latter. We all ignore these possibilities at our peril.

I think the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes highlight the real issues with AI. As you said, it isn't just about showing your body - that you need to engage and make the customer fall in love with you. I am one of those who was there near the beginning, but these days, because I don't typically pay for content, I am not as useful to you. However, I wonder how long before AI is able to create and OF that shows both sexiness and is also able to make personal engagements with customers?
I am happy to see that you are able to work for yourself and not have to completely rely on the corporate machines. You do depend on the platform which is a corporation but you have much more autonomy that in a corporate job. And you are smart to diversify and develop other businesses. Problem is, AI could be used to create your perfect BF or porn scenario. If they get it right - real people as such won’t be necessary. And you can switch ‘characters’ with the click of a button. Careers are never easy or last forever, or you get bored. When it comes to AI creativity there’s no substitute for life experience. AI can’t do that and if and when it can what’s it going to write about…what it’s like to live without a body?
I think most are not very good at understanding what AI does. For instance, it can very well replace doctors. Automated analysis of X-rays, blood samples and similar things is already a thing. It is happening. It will not replace *all* doctors, but many of those who just look at images and say: Hey, that might be cancer. And software developers... there is a difference between programmers and software developers. Programmers, certainly... low code is a thing (it was promised to replace all software developers within 5 years... that was 10 years ago). Developing software is more than just do what you are asked to do. Currently all AI models just copy paste code they find in the internet. Stack exchange, Github, etc. AI can certainly help developing more complex algorithms, like libraries did 50 years ago. Before libraries (using code, other people wrote), programmers had to write every line of their program on their own. Then libraries were invented and programmers (software developers) used code of others. For the next 10 years AI will be delivering libraries or similar concepts to complex application. Certainly, the simple programmers jobs will be gone. But the jobs of debuggers (those people hunting for real bugs (insects) in big computer are also gone.)

Hey art Might be a late comment I am someone who is in the STEM field True, AI is going to change jobs and we need to adapt to stay afloat But I highly doubt they are going to completely replace jobs such as software engineer it would morph into something different For example when computers became mainstream yes a lot of jobs were replaced but at the same time a lot of jobs were created as well
Just do whatever you like when you can. Some "real" jobs are not for everyone. But AI won't be taking over anytime soon, since there will be much pushbacks and regulations coming in for it to replace people.

I grew up in the 1950s and '60s. It was a lot different in those days to grow up and be gay. I admire your work if I were your age I would do only fans also. It however when I was your age this could not be done. It is thanks to Guys Like You that people understand us more. I am absolutely in love with you and Pumpkin. I think the current WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes highlight the real issues with AI. As you said, it isn't just about showing your body - that you need to engage and make the customer fall in love with you. I am one of those who was there near the beginning, but these days, because I don't typically pay for content, I am not as useful to you. However, I wonder how long before AI is able to create and OF that shows both sexiness and is also able to make personal engagements with customers?
I am happy to see that you are able to work for yourself and not have to completely rely on the corporate machines. You do depend on the platform which is a corporation but you have much more autonomy that in a corporate job. And you are smart to diversify and develop other businesses. As for the negative judgment you receive, that’s not going to harm you especially when you’re wealthy and successful. Use your talents, charm, and creativity doing something you enjoy that brings you great benefits as you have outlined. I for one support you.

Problem is, AI could be used to create your perfect BF or porn scenario. If they get it right - real people as such won’t be necessary. And you can switch ‘characters’ with the click of a button. Careers are never easy or last forever, or you get bored. I think it’s great Art has done so well, but social media stuff has brainwashed many into believing they can make a fortune without actually working towards a real job/career.
I don't think anyone was brainwashed - and doing creation well - across platforms - is more than a full time job, I think you fail to understand how much effort a good creator has to put in. Like any other small business, its far more than a full time job.
@@radagast25a - far from it I understand very well, a good friend of mine I won’t mention names has many millions of subscribers. My point is content creators in context of the population is very rare. It’s not something many people will be successful with. How many other Art and Chris’s are there making similar content? How much room is there in the market for people making similar stuff? TH-cam lands channels like this in my lap lol, most creators after either a short time or a few years have packed up and gone. I appreciate all the hard work that goes into it, but it’s not a ‘career’ most people can get into and be successful with. It’s a bit like acting - the pool is very small.
The internet is an evolving beast. How long before ad revenue or sponsorship is banned from social media? Bye bye revenue stream.

I think most are not very good at understanding what AI does.
For instance, it can very well replace doctors. Automated analysis of X-rays, blood samples and similar things is already a thing. It is happening.
It will not replace *all* doctors, but many of those who just look at images and say: Hey, that might be cancer.
And software developers... there is a difference between programmers and software developers.
Programmers, certainly... low code is a thing (it was promised to replace all software developers within 5 years... that was 10 years ago).
Developing software is more than just do what you are asked to do. Currently all AI models just copy paste code they find in the internet. Stack exchange, Github, etc.
AI can certainly help developing more complex algorithms, like libraries did 50 years ago. Before libraries (using code, other people wrote), programmers had to write every line of their program on their own. Then libraries were invented and programmers (software developers) used code of others. For the next 10 years AI will be delivering libraries or similar concepts to complex application. Certainly, the simple programmers jobs will be gone. But the jobs of debuggers (those people hunting for real bugs (insects) in big computer are also gone.)

True, AI is going to change jobs and we need to adapt to stay afloat
But I highly doubt they are going to completely replace jobs such as software engineer it would morph into something different
For example when computers became mainstream yes a lot of jobs were replaced but at the same time a lot of jobs were created as well
Just do whatever you like when you can. Some "real" jobs are not for everyone. But AI won't be taking over anytime soon, since there will be much pushbacks and regulations coming in for it to replace people.
I truly wish you were right. More than you can know. I am also truly thankful that my career path ended with my retirement a bit more than a year ago, and I can relax and write books now, and watch Art on TH-cam. I truly wish you were right. Kind thoughts.
