I am a PVE player mostly but I still really like these build videos. They are useful whenever I do want to play PVP and I have fun adapting these builds for PVE sometimes
Fighting lion!! Nice to see someone genuinely use fighting lion other than the memes. There isn't enough fighting lion yt content and this makes me feel so good.
Surplus scathelocke with wormhusk crown on stasis with the double shurikan for surplus and duskfield with touch of winter, whisper of chains, whisper of torment and whisper of shards for damage reduction with your duskfield with a 30 sec recharge time so you are unbeatable in primary duals wit resistance and wormhusk crown. You will also need double class ability kickstart and grenade kickstart
First time commenting anywhere on TH-cam, your build videos were one of the reasons I started doing any amount of crucible in the first place. I’m a pve player and though I don’t think I have ever put on any of the builds you feature, they are still some of my favorite videos about Destiny pvp. I don’t know how to end this so just thanks for the entertaining content.
Those button bind suggestions alone are worth a like! I'm not much of a PvP player at all, but I honestly love these build videos. There's always valuable info in your content, even for a PvE main like myself
it's a simple/low flavor build but I used it again recently (hadn't used it since Splicer) and found it pretty fun. Lumina with Boots of the Assembler, A long range Special weapon (Sniper or Fusion rifle is my go to), Heavy of your choice, Empowering rift, Fusion Grenade (or healing nade if you want to do some more support), and Celestial Fire (for long range Radiant). The build pretty much always keeps you damage boosted and some of your teammates boosted, it helps a lot in 6v6 and carried my Iron Banner matches. (P.S. keep making video's like this because I find them fun to watch and hear, helps get community PVP ideas out there and let's me know if builds counter the current metas or are equal with them)
Hey, just a heads up but you won't get a perfect Icarus Dash binding it like that. I-Dash has something called "variable inertia" based on whether or not you're actively gliding when you use it. • If you're not gliding, the I-Dash will ignore your starting momentum and kill your speed on the other side. This is good for getting around corners and hitting the breaks. • If you're gliding, the I-Dash will compound on top of your existing momentum. This will give you greater overall velocity and let you carry your speed. If you bind it all to a long A-press, you'll always be stuck with the momentum-killing dash. To use it properly, activate burst glide at the top of your jump and immediately cancel it with an I-Dash in the same direction. You can also compound extra momentum from sprinting, Eager Edge, shoulder-boosting and the stair glitch.
These videos are definitely one of my favorites and would love to see a more regular upside schedule. That being said I have 2 builds I think you might enjoy. 1: The move that made LeBron cry. Void warlock, blink, and ruinous effigy are the only mandatory things for this build, but astrocyte and a kinetic bow to prime targets for the purple meme beam help complete this build. Once you have an orb ready to go, you teleport over an unsuspecting target and dunk for big damage. 2: Unlimited Grenade Spam. This build requires solar titan, fighting lion, fusion grenades, and the ashen wake. From there I like to use throwing hammer as my melee and a handcannon for clean up, though these can be swapped out.
phoenix dive + icarus dash+ wings of sacred dawn + borealis solar mode = drive-by air snipes for days (u can also run the in air compensator mod for 100 ae on ur sniper)
Bombardiers on arc with all aspects and fragments specced into melees, dodge + 1 melee = aoe damage high enough for a kill because of jolt! Can get entire teamwipes if the stars align

I have both a PvE and PvP build The main goal of this build is to buff your primary damage so much, that people can not hope to fight you So what is the Weapon. I suggest the Touch of Malice for a more defensive and long range approach, with Tommy being a bit more aggressive Secondly, you want to run Healing grenades and empowering riff with your solar warlock, along with anything that helps refresh restoration and grants you Rift energy. Then you want to run Secant Filament boots. This will give you devour, witch will automatically bring you back to full health. So not only are you more likely to survive a battle, or outlast because of Restoration 2, via touch of flame and Healing grenade, but you Buff you ToM with the final round, empowering, and if need be, though while not stacking, Radiant. The goal of the build is to sacrifice your health in the middle of a battle for boosted damage, wherein you will then get your health instantly back via devour, allowing for you, similar to the ability of Crimson, fight someone else, with full health. This could also be used in PvE for a bit more Endgame content
This is such a cool series! I wouldn't mind if you mixed this series with the custom exotic series where maybe you do some fun builds and explain cool ideas for exotics that would better fit these builds? Whether they are already existing exotics or custom ones
I think it's awesome to have a series where literally anything can pop up and be viable to an extent. Combined with all mods just being unlocked.... Sooo much potential and hopefully renewed interest, as builds have become more accessible

Speaking of the fighting lion build, I was having some fun with it in Iron Banner this past week. I was running it with a snapshot Biting Winds and Ophidians to get from lion to bow ads as fast as possible. On top of that I was running a very aggro dawnblade build with icarus dash, touch of flame healing grenades and phoenix dive just like the Tarrabah build here. The lion does a great job of throwing off Citans users and generally creates a lot of chaos in 6v6 where I think the build thrives most, especially because the bow is great not just for cleaning up your own lion damage, but also for shamelessly killstealing from your teammates if you like that kind of thing.
I love this series. My main PvP build rn- Fighting Lion and a Bow on Blink Warlock. Basically a cancellation note for their lifetime subscription, you tag them with the bow and swap to FL if they try to get cover; or lead with FL then blink in with a weaksauce uncharged bow shot.
Please continue making these videos, they are the main reason I subbed and I find them super entertaining. One thing I enjoy about d2 is its build variety and seeing the creativity of the community through these videos is great.
I really like the build series and the new form of rating them streamlines them in a nice manner without oversimplifying their core idea! Keep up the good work
These videos personally make me feel a part of the Channel, I love testing builds and making my own as a way to interact with the community especially in discord. That said it comes to your own creative enjoyment, if this is something your finding old or getting burned out on it’s not worth it, but if you have fun doing a Monday livestream and a wensday upload keep them coming
Definitely one my favorite series in this channel, would hate to see it ending up discarded. Also, you can try a full blinding Arc hunter build, use blinding nade, blinding melee, spark of beacons & brilliance, bombardiers (gemini jester also works since it technically blinds) and if possible both primary and energy weapon with demolitionist. I used Smg & shotgun, good to dominate close quarters and are really well benefited by the constant blinding since it allows you to get in your effective range because you dont let them see shit, but i guess you can try other pairing
Following up on that outro. I'm way more of a PVE player myself, but recently I've been looking to dip my toes into the wild and wonderful world of getting mulched by shotguns. These videos are very helpful in that they help to give me an idea of what works, what doesn't, and what wacky loadouts I can run when my midlife crisis hits.
I like the idea of explosive personality having a follow up shot since waveframes always break shields. You get the choice of swapping to another weapon or just shooting twice in sucession
I do enjoy seeing the build videos just because I'm not a PVP player for the most part. So it has actually really helped me start to enjoy playing some PVP outside of Mayhem. I particularly love omega builds since I like threading the needle with bows or scout rifles, then when the enemy show up on my door step using a side arm to shut them down (that is your fault due to the Rat King build). So thank you for the update and fun new builds to try out.
this is my "Screw Baricades" build. disparity with RH KC (set to Hakke Breach) (though any hakke pulse rifle will work (and if you don't want pulse rifles, any hakke primary)), cloudstrike or the toaster an eager edge blade on stasis hunter with the following aspects and fragments. Grim harvest, Touch of Winter, Durance, Chains, Shards, Torment, and Conduction. this is all meant to work with renewal grasps to make as big of a duskfeild as possible. (max discipline as well as grenade kickstart and double bomber for maximum grenade BS as well as anti-barrier pulse (this is optional as it is a seasonal mod)) you throw a duskfeild the size of texas, are capable of ripping barricades to pieces, and if you are using cloudstrike, can geat easy multikills.
What I've been using: Biting Winds, Lubrae's Ruin, and Ophidians on Arc Warlock, with Arc Soul healing rift and Lightning Surge. The bow + glaive loadout is shockingly potent right now, especially in team settings, and the Ophidians perfect it with a much quicker swap between the two (or the bow into melee when out of special). Moreover, once you get the first swap, you have shield charge, allowing you to start bullying the next guardian that tries to get in your face.
One of my go-to builds is Biting Winds (snapshot quickdraw) and The Keening (Moving target high impact reserves). The combo of a high impact bow's burst damage and a close range answer to shotgun rushers tends to work very well for me. And as long as the bow has the smallest draw time you can get (elastic and draw masterwork) then two shot bodying people becomes cake, or even one body shot followed up by a melee at close range. It definitely takes some getting used to as far as play style though. Positioning is key
Sunshot is like literally so good and i am very confused why it isnt more used. It can compete a lot easier with pulses and smgs due to the fire rate and high range
Build suggestion: Calibans Hand, fragments to increase scorch stacks and ignition explosions. Run Cryostesia and a wave frame launcher. One with high handling. Explosive Personality has lower handling and Disruption Break doesnt work with Stasis weapons. Deafening Whisper is a better option (more handling) GL your enemy, clean up with Cryostesia, freeze the next person you see and explosive knife detonate them. On longer range maps, feel free to swap out the GL for a BXR with Incandescent. You won't get the quick clean ups with GL swapping but you can still make it work.
I like these build videos since they give great ideas on my own builds. For builds I was playing with Mech Tricksleeves with very low (Tier 2 or under) Recovery on Solar Hunter with Forerunner and Drang. I also used the Surprise Attack CWL mod. I also used the mod that makes you charged with Light with Sidearm multikills. If you need Health Regen, use a Healing Grenade. I also played with Invis Ruinous Effegy with Gemini Jesters that way my opponent can't see when I dunk on them. Just gotta make sure to dodge before picking up the ball because if you dodge with the ball, the ball disappears.
Ok so I can't take full credit for this build as I did find it somewhere else, but I made a few modifications of my own. Necromancer: Vigilance Wing, an energy weapon with the Classy Contender Perk (I picked The Title SMG), and the Aeon Soul gauntlets (bc Warlocks are the best, this might still work with other classes though) with Sect of Vigor Mod. I also went with Voidwalker for the void soul, but I'm sure you could do good with Stormcaller for the arc soul too. Could also throw on double Utility Kickstart, Bolstering Detonation, Focusing Strike, and Insulation if you want even more energy.
I absolutely love these build ideas, I am in the midst of making an invisible speed demon/shotgun ape lol stasis hunter, mask of bakris, gamblers dodge to reload while closing distance, slowing the target WHILE going invisible to follow up a shotgun hit
My top 3 types of videos you make are: 1. Exotic idea(side note: where is it at?) 2. Spicy clips 3. Loadout/builds are stupid. Keeps the 3 as a core videos and the rest can just be extra. Maybe exotic ideas on Monday, build ideas on Wednesday and spicy clips on Friday. Just an idea.
I personally use tommy's with lunafactions to ramp up its range and damage to 11. You can also go the non-range route and opt for reload speed and healing. The flexibility really sells the deal.
This type of series runs into the issue of just running out of builds eventually. There's only so much you can do before you end up with nothing left but the "normal" stuff

My PvP Explosive Personality is Genesis and Disruption break, I can either double hit them with it for the kill or swap to a kinetic weapon to finish them off because they take increased damage after having their shields broken
Tommy's and The Stag has some interesting synergy, as Tommy's self damage procs The Stag which gives you healing rifts and damage reduction so you're safer while using Tommy's, which procs The Stag which regens your rift which... and so on.
I honestly love anything PvP related but especially from your channel!! The build videos are super fun cause it shows this game in a new light even after all these years which is awesome! After this last IB, I strongly recommend Hakke weapons. I ran empowering rift and the breech armament perk to destroy titan barricades very quickly. Run with anything.
Arc Titan with Flashbang, Touch of Thunder, and Armamentarium. Use any Blinding GL and any 140 HC. If you have a heavy GL with either Concussion or Blinding, use that too
I hop into any of your PvP videos sporatically. PvP isn't my favourite thing in the world but your voice is nice to listen to and the content is fun so I tend to watch when I get a video in my recommended.
As someone who agrees with you on sunshot. I literally was balling with it on a solar lock with ophidians and a defiance of Yasmin with firefly during iron banner. And I don't pvp much
Definitely looking forward to new versions of these. I have problems sticking with one concept and LOVE experimentation. Always check them out if I need to get some brain juices flowing

I don't know how feasible this series idea is, as it is dependent on you and your friends scheduling, but what about a series where you and other players try out gimmicks and ideas that utilize multiple players? For instance, three titans placing their barriers in a triangle formation in a budget ward of dawn. Or a squad of invis hunters using omnioculus to have 100% invis uptime ganging up on people in 6s.
I just want to see you rock an ignition code and fighting lion hot swap build with all reload mods and ophidian aspects, and super of your choice. Used this build in the heart of felwinter dominance and it destroyed the competition because of the high damage at further than shotgun range
The war cleric: solar hunter w radiant dodge and healing nade, run max mobility max nade w frostees, wave frame gl for energy and lumina for your kinetic, everything else is free fill
I am about a 50/50 crucible, PVE player and I like the build content. I find that because I am not a heavy PVP player coming with a build that has some surprises, not just pen, cannons, shotguns, and sniper rifles helps me out
Please continue this series. I come here for fun pvp content. Everyone else does pve meta builds, gun reviews, and commentaries. Love this style of content. No one does it like mesome
Fighting lion paired with a quickdraw/snapshot hand canon is DEADLY, if you can get your hands on one, let rip in crucible because people really don't expect it, good luck!
As a long time viewer but average player I really love your build videos they help me shake up my play style and just make the game a lot more fun and yet the fact that Bungie isn't putting any love into crucible right now really sucks cuz there are a lot of builds that I want to use (some of your older builds mostly even though a lot of them can't be used cuz sandbox changes) using your building in Gambit is the next best thing I've been able to do and yes I play Gambit for fun, what's one way of spawning in with Boss music spawning as an invader.
Would love to see a build of the week for each class that u test . Like arc titan solar warlock and void hunter then switch it up every week tell u run through 4>5 weeks until strand is here

My pvp build is weird. I've been using Ace of Spades with an ikelos smg that has rangefinder. It's actually a pretty effective combo. I pair that my loreley and a healing grenade and shoulder charge for movement

These videos personally make me feel a part of the Channel, I love testing builds and making my own as a way to interact with the community especially in discord.
That said it comes to your own creative enjoyment, if this is something your finding old or getting burned out on it’s not worth it, but if you have fun doing a Monday livestream and a wensday upload keep them coming
This is a fun series, as I'm a horrible build maker and enjoy hearing how the builds fit and trying new things out.
Definitely one my favorite series in this channel, would hate to see it ending up discarded.
Also, you can try a full blinding Arc hunter build, use blinding nade, blinding melee, spark of beacons & brilliance, bombardiers (gemini jester also works since it technically blinds) and if possible both primary and energy weapon with demolitionist. I used Smg & shotgun, good to dominate close quarters and are really well benefited by the constant blinding since it allows you to get in your effective range because you dont let them see shit, but i guess you can try other pairing
Following up on that outro. I'm way more of a PVE player myself, but recently I've been looking to dip my toes into the wild and wonderful world of getting mulched by shotguns. These videos are very helpful in that they help to give me an idea of what works, what doesn't, and what wacky loadouts I can run when my midlife crisis hits.
I like the idea of explosive personality having a follow up shot since waveframes always break shields. You get the choice of swapping to another weapon or just shooting twice in sucession
I do enjoy seeing the build videos just because I'm not a PVP player for the most part. So it has actually really helped me start to enjoy playing some PVP outside of Mayhem. I particularly love omega builds since I like threading the needle with bows or scout rifles, then when the enemy show up on my door step using a side arm to shut them down (that is your fault due to the Rat King build). So thank you for the update and fun new builds to try out.
this is my "Screw Baricades" build.
disparity with RH KC (set to Hakke Breach) (though any hakke pulse rifle will work (and if you don't want pulse rifles, any hakke primary)),
cloudstrike or the toaster
an eager edge blade
on stasis hunter with the following aspects and fragments.
Grim harvest, Touch of Winter, Durance, Chains, Shards, Torment, and Conduction.
this is all meant to work with renewal grasps to make as big of a duskfeild as possible.
(max discipline as well as grenade kickstart and double bomber for maximum grenade BS as well as anti-barrier pulse (this is optional as it is a seasonal mod))
you throw a duskfeild the size of texas, are capable of ripping barricades to pieces, and if you are using cloudstrike, can geat easy multikills.
What I've been using: Biting Winds, Lubrae's Ruin, and Ophidians on Arc Warlock, with Arc Soul healing rift and Lightning Surge. The bow + glaive loadout is shockingly potent right now, especially in team settings, and the Ophidians perfect it with a much quicker swap between the two (or the bow into melee when out of special). Moreover, once you get the first swap, you have shield charge, allowing you to start bullying the next guardian that tries to get in your face.
One of my go-to builds is Biting Winds (snapshot quickdraw) and The Keening (Moving target high impact reserves). The combo of a high impact bow's burst damage and a close range answer to shotgun rushers tends to work very well for me. And as long as the bow has the smallest draw time you can get (elastic and draw masterwork) then two shot bodying people becomes cake, or even one body shot followed up by a melee at close range. It definitely takes some getting used to as far as play style though. Positioning is key
Sunshot is like literally so good and i am very confused why it isnt more used. It can compete a lot easier with pulses and smgs due to the fire rate and high range
Build suggestion:
Calibans Hand, fragments to increase scorch stacks and ignition explosions.
Run Cryostesia and a wave frame launcher. One with high handling. Explosive Personality has lower handling and Disruption Break doesnt work with Stasis weapons. Deafening Whisper is a better option (more handling)
GL your enemy, clean up with Cryostesia, freeze the next person you see and explosive knife detonate them.
On longer range maps, feel free to swap out the GL for a BXR with Incandescent. You won't get the quick clean ups with GL swapping but you can still make it work.
I like these build videos since they give great ideas on my own builds. For builds I was playing with Mech Tricksleeves with very low (Tier 2 or under) Recovery on Solar Hunter with Forerunner and Drang. I also used the Surprise Attack CWL mod. I also used the mod that makes you charged with Light with Sidearm multikills. If you need Health Regen, use a Healing Grenade. I also played with Invis Ruinous Effegy with Gemini Jesters that way my opponent can't see when I dunk on them. Just gotta make sure to dodge before picking up the ball because if you dodge with the ball, the ball disappears.
Always nice to watch these builds. In this current pvp, doing dumb or fun builds is the only thing making me comeback.
Ok so I can't take full credit for this build as I did find it somewhere else, but I made a few modifications of my own.
Necromancer:
Vigilance Wing, an energy weapon with the Classy Contender Perk (I picked The Title SMG), and the Aeon Soul gauntlets (bc Warlocks are the best, this might still work with other classes though) with Sect of Vigor Mod.
I also went with Voidwalker for the void soul, but I'm sure you could do good with Stormcaller for the arc soul too.
Could also throw on double Utility Kickstart, Bolstering Detonation, Focusing Strike, and Insulation if you want even more energy.
I always enjoy these videos. Looking forward to giving the tarrabah build a try.
I absolutely love these build ideas, I am in the midst of making an invisible speed demon/shotgun ape lol stasis hunter, mask of bakris, gamblers dodge to reload while closing distance, slowing the target WHILE going invisible to follow up a shotgun hit
My top 3 types of videos you make are:
1. Exotic idea(side note: where is it at?)
2. Spicy clips
3. Loadout/builds are stupid.
Keeps the 3 as a core videos and the rest can just be extra. Maybe exotic ideas on Monday, build ideas on Wednesday and spicy clips on Friday. Just an idea.

I personally use tommy's with lunafactions to ramp up its range and damage to 11. You can also go the non-range route and opt for reload speed and healing. The flexibility really sells the deal.

This type of series runs into the issue of just running out of builds eventually. There's only so much you can do before you end up with nothing left but the "normal" stuff
Young ahamkaras spine with weighted knife, and cryosthyesia with any secondary depending on the map, freezing and throwing knife is satisfying af

My PvP Explosive Personality is Genesis and Disruption break, I can either double hit them with it for the kill or swap to a kinetic weapon to finish them off because they take increased damage after having their shields broken
funny builds are what attracted me to the channel but in general, the channel is a fun lil vibe

Tommy's and The Stag has some interesting synergy, as Tommy's self damage procs The Stag which gives you healing rifts and damage reduction so you're safer while using Tommy's, which procs The Stag which regens your rift which... and so on.

After this last IB, I strongly recommend Hakke weapons. I ran empowering rift and the breech armament perk to destroy titan barricades very quickly. Run with anything.
Arc Titan with Flashbang, Touch of Thunder, and Armamentarium. Use any Blinding GL and any 140 HC. If you have a heavy GL with either Concussion or Blinding, use that too
I don’t play PvP much, but I enjoy seeing the interesting interactions and options available

As someone who agrees with you on sunshot. I literally was balling with it on a solar lock with ophidians and a defiance of Yasmin with firefly during iron banner. And I don't pvp much
Definitely looking forward to new versions of these. I have problems sticking with one concept and LOVE experimentation. Always check them out if I need to get some brain juices flowing

I don't know how feasible this series idea is, as it is dependent on you and your friends scheduling, but what about a series where you and other players try out gimmicks and ideas that utilize multiple players? For instance, three titans placing their barriers in a triangle formation in a budget ward of dawn. Or a squad of invis hunters using omnioculus to have 100% invis uptime ganging up on people in 6s.
I just want to see you rock an ignition code and fighting lion hot swap build with all reload mods and ophidian aspects, and super of your choice. Used this build in the heart of felwinter dominance and it destroyed the competition because of the high damage at further than shotgun range

I am about a 50/50 crucible, PVE player and I like the build content. I find that because I am not a heavy PVP player coming with a build that has some surprises, not just pen, cannons, shotguns, and sniper rifles helps me out

Fighting lion paired with a quickdraw/snapshot hand canon is DEADLY, if you can get your hands on one, let rip in crucible because people really don't expect it, good luck!

As a long time viewer but average player I really love your build videos they help me shake up my play style and just make the game a lot more fun and yet the fact that Bungie isn't putting any love into crucible right now really sucks cuz there are a lot of builds that I want to use (some of your older builds mostly even though a lot of them can't be used cuz sandbox changes) using your building in Gambit is the next best thing I've been able to do and yes I play Gambit for fun, what's one way of spawning in with Boss music spawning as an invader.
Would love to see a build of the week for each class that u test . Like arc titan solar warlock and void hunter then switch it up every week tell u run through 4>5 weeks until strand is here

i like seeing these so i know what to look for in pvp as i’m mainly pve, but maybe every once in a while go over crazy pve builds maybe?
My pvp build is weird. I've been using Ace of Spades with an ikelos smg that has rangefinder. It's actually a pretty effective combo. I pair that my loreley and a healing grenade and shoulder charge for movement
I think that Sunshot's lack of popularity re:Solar 3.0 is that it doesn't play with scorch and ignition properly.
Builds like this are the only things keeping me from uninstalling the game and waiting for Lightfall. Please please please keep making them!
