You have given me the urge to cook and bake again after my husband died. I have done the leek and potato soup today feel so proud have told everyone about your channel. Love it xx
I'm so glad I found this channel, great work and great recipes! This looks delicious! Additional advice to save money: Now is the perfect time of year where cheap seeds are offered in the shops. I got some in Aldi last week. Tomatoes can be grown in the garden and on the balcony and don't cost much to grow, same with cucumbers and salad and radish. Tomatoes can be seeded on the windowsill now and put outside in May after the night frosts are gone. Same with cucumbers. Salad can be seeded outside straight away now, especially baby spinach, lamb's lettuce and radishes, they actually like it cold.
I have 3 go to youtubers and you sir are 8n the top 3, great vids no messing about no crappy music straight to the point love it, dont ever stop buddy.. .
👍👍👍👍👍 Absolutely brilliant. What adds to your recipes is the minimal use of specialist - or do I mean expensive equipment that sits in the cupboard for years!. I do wonder how my late mother who cooked three times a day and additionally baked for Britain managed without a garlic press, food processor or coffee maker.😅
Love your homely way of doing and explaining things and using every day ingredients we all use. Am doing the mince and dumplings today. My sons were worried that I was not eating properly as I just couldn’t be pestered I’m nearly 80 but you have inspired me. Thank you
3.47 - very satisfying ASMR plus a delicious looking burger at the end! I'm not a cook but have made several of your recipes and to my shock have been successful - even the buns! Looking forward to making this burger too, thank you.
I would like to blame you for all the weight I’m putting on .. whenever I see your videos( which is often) I have the urge to replicate your recipes there and then … keep them coming..
Hi it’s peculiarlyhookedonpendle again !, I’ve an alternative for you sir… mushroom burgers, they go very well in your buns, kids had them for dinner this evening, very very inexpensive. 2 cups fine chop mushrooms 1/2 cup chopped onion 1/2 cup breadcrumbs 1/2 cup cheddar 1/4 cup plain flour 2 eggs 1/4 tsp thyme Salt and pepper Mix it all up and make into burgers, usually oven bake about twenty minutes. Have made these many times and usually triple recipe as they freeze well and mushrooms are usually to be found reduced in our local one stop ! Also have a twist on your soatmeal scone, oat crumble biscuit if you are interested…..
@@BakingOnABudget you are more than welcome. Give this a go…. Grab a couple cups cheap porridge oats, sunflower or veg oil, 1/3 cup sugar, tablespoon of fennel seeds and some plain flour, nothing is exact just mix it together until it comes together so with wet hands you can pick it up and make it into biscuits, has the consistency of wet crumble topping. Bake about 12-15 mins. A staple in our house, make very good filling breakfast biscuits
Always delicious ideas. I'm frequently amazed at how much cheaper food ingredients cost where you are. I'm in California, western United States. A pence is roughly 1.25 US pennies, called cents. That 9 pence onion would cost about 60 cents, or 55 p. Our prices vary widely in the US. In general when I've done a price comparison of your recipes to my costs most of them price out at three to four times higher than your costs. 😮 Yet still budget priced compared to the shops and excludes all those additives most of us can do without.
Wow, that's a lot of money for an onion, I get a bag of 10/11 of them for less than £1. But your right it is still cheaper to make your own food and you know what is in it.
I do like a good chicken burger 😋. This is going on my fortnightly shopping list. I can't believe how much more expensive it is in Australia than in the UK, especially in Tasmania where I live 😞. And we don't even have an ALDI here, only price gouging Woolworths and Coles!
Nice change of pace with a savoury option again. Looking good. Obviously that method goes for most meats, not just chicken. I’d probably add a strip of bacon, but then a price >£1.00 doesn’t have the same appeal in a video like this. Keep up the good work 👍
@@BakingOnABudget Just made these burgers and had one for my dinner with a few chips and a salad. Absolutely delicious and took no time to prepare. Thanks for a brilliant recipe sir.
I made these last night. They were delicious and hubby said best burger I've ever had!! Loved the way you did breadcrumbs, so, so easy!! We added tomato underneath top layer of mayo! ❤❤❤ Keep cooking!
Looks yummy! I do mine with an oxo stock cube, Herbs De Provence, grated onion and garlic and minus the breadcrumbs but that is because I am always on a diet.
I’m going to be making these chicken burgers ,I made your chocolate fudge cake very nice indeed think it will be a family favourite, will be tuning in for your next video
I made these tonight and my husband said that he seriously liked them. I thought they were a bit bland, but that is probably just me. Ever since I had covid my own sense of taste has been diminished. So, the next time I make these I will try spicing up my own patties with a lot more black pepper
Yes I did....but I survived.....I do wash my hand regularly when doing these recipes but I edit it out....but on that occasion I neglected it....my mistake. Thanks for pointing it out.
Yes you could make them a little smaller and get 6 out of the ingredients, I just wanted to show that you can get a really substantial burger for a low cost. Hope you give the recipe a try. Thanks.
I’m considering cutting down on red meat in my diet and was trying to think of meal ideas when your Wednesday video popped up. Perfect timing! Thanks Dave, tomorrow’s meal sorted! 😂😉 Take care Gill X

Another great recipe! I'll definitely try this. The only change I'll make, to suit my personal taste, is to give the onions and garlic a quick saute.
