- So many of you have requested a full version of my rendition of "Don't Know Why" by Norah Jones. Y'all have been so kind, so supportive, and sent so much love since my American Idol audition aired, so this is the least I could do to say THANK YOU! I love you guys.
Shoutout to my girl, Alyssa Ladenburg for filming and editing this video in less than 12 hours! She's a rockstar.
Also, I apologize for the weird audio panning - this is my first time recording audio on my own and I'm still learning how to use the software...BEAR WITH ME, I'M NEW TO THIS 😂😂😂

YES I had the same problem with her audition. It was really nice seeing the judges interacting with her but i really wanted to hear the full song. She's got such a lovely gentle approach, timid almost, i hope she doesn't lose that as she gains confidence.

I know you are 100 percent right. I just feel like she should have been given a contract wayyy before this. You’re voice is undoubtably one of the prettiest sounds I have ever heard in my 37 years of life.
With respect, I think this is how it’s meant to be sung. She enthused on the right words with amazing expression and tone. Nora Jones sang this beautifully but there was the right energy put into the words here. It made me feel like I knew what the song meant. There’s a real feel of regret and despair for mistakes and missed opportunities. I really felt that sadness.

NORA wrote this and sang it the way she wrote it, with a sultry gritty voice you almost can't copy. It wasnt ment to have proper pronation it was ment to sound southern, Nora did country music before she did Jazz.

I seriously have NO IDEA how you didnt make it to the top 10 on American Idol
her presence on TH-cam has been a while, she‘s semi-pro already. A.I viewers and voters tend to reward pure amatuers who were never heard before and give them a chance to shine. She is very good as a singer/song writer type of vocalist, but not enough POP star quality to win A.I, let alone top 10.

As many have mentioned, you don't need IDOL... You're ready to be signed and give us all more of what you are. I'm aching to experience what that voice can bring to us all when personalized by Ashley Hess..You are a prize and have everything it takes... You blow current artists out of the water with those vocals. I was an instrumental musician for 6 years and have an ear for music. This was one of my dad’s favorite songs...I love the nostalgia while listening to this song and all the memories that happen to come back. When my TV and/or DVD player was broken, he put a radio in my room and put Norah Jones on. I’d fall asleep soothingly. Now this song can bring tears to my eyes because he passed away when I was 6, around Valentine’s Day. So I like to listen to this every now and again, just so I don’t forget him for one, and for two this is genuinely a wonderful song. 💕 (PS Your singing is beautiful)

Love it - i was upset when the judges interrupted the audition then I finally found it. But I hope you can do a piano version (this Korg has a great piano sound of course) with a different mic as this mic cannot do your voice justice. Thanks
