- In this session i have discussed 4 important theories of Punishment along with 2 other not-so-important theories. They are Deterrent Theory, Retributive Theory, Preventive Theory, Reformative Theory, Expiatory Theory and Compensation Theory (Blood Money Concept). Have kept case laws too. Hope helps.
