Often hit Pal’s for that addictive tea. Always amazed at how meticulously fresh the paint is and clean the clean exterior…..and the fact that the drive thru is NEVER blocked by the delivery truck. Attention to detail is impressive!!
Big pal w/cheese frenchy fri and peachy tea is the best,I grew up off Wyndale and this is an aspect of home I greatly miss. Thanks y'all for sharing keep up the great work!
Love seeing the regional chains! I wasn't familiar with their menu so had to look it up, and the first thing that caught my eye was a drink of all things...Pibb Xtra! 😄
Enjoyed this! Pals is awesome! The peanut butter milk shake is so good. Can't go wrong with a hotdog , biggy and frenchie fries...thanks guys . Stay safe....God bless...🙏❤
Why do I always discover your wonderful videos when it's later in the evening and dinner options are almost non-existent in this part of Ohio? So that I can put places like Pal's on my bucket list, I suppose. These diners look amazing. Thanks for bringing them to us. Shane, what was the grade you got on that paper in college? You know -- the one that you interviewed Pal Barger (or was it Berger?) for? How long did you two talk on the phone again? I think Melody missed a few details on that anecdote.... 😀
Very cool. I took pictures of a Pal's when we were on our road trip to Tennessee in 2012. I just looked at my pictures, and it was 10 minutes out of Elizabethton. We didn't eat there though. But that peanut butter shake sounds awesome.
I ate at a Pal's in 2012 when I was in Kingsport for a trail race. When I saw the thumbnail, I knew I had eaten at one but couldn't remember where until I watched the video.
Have you all ever visited Pearisburg Virginia and Giles County there before?Pretty country out there and Pearisburg has a quaint downtown! Hey,this hamburger joint has character compared to the bigger chains!
Man, I haven't eaten at pals since I was probably 13 or 14. I'll be 50 in about a week. I'm not taking away from Pals in noway, but to me, ya still can't beat a good Tastee- Freeze. Which, I know where there's still one, by the way. Thanks for bringing back a long-lost memory that I had totally forgotten about.
I don’t know if they still sell the strawberry or not. Didn’t realize they ever did but that’s my favorite one so I will have to find out. I always add a shot of their Razzi to my Dr Enuf to make it taste kinda sorta close to that.
Hmm ... I have been to Tn. many times , as well as Fla . Lived in Ala for a year , and been to Tx many times . Never heard of a Pals before . Oh and N.C. , Ky.
Man, y’all were at my neighborhood Pal’s. Not 5 miles from my house. I used to live across from the Lynn Garden location. When I first moved to Kingsport I avoided Pal’s because of the Creepy guy on the roof of the Lynn Garden Pal’s. After I finally tried them I was hooked.
@@realappalachia I didn’t realize they had milkshakes. When I was still in Southwest Virginia (Wise) I liked frosty Bossie in Coeburn and Peanut Butter shakes at The Hob Nob near Gate City. Definitely plenty of good eats in the area.

A lot of my Momma's family is from East TN and Pal's is always on the itinerary whenever we visit. 🍔🍟 Sauceburgers are my go-to. 😋

Wow this place is awesome! I might have to swing by on my way to a karate tournament that's in Tennessee next month.
Oh yes, it is a local legend

Oh you’ll have to fill us in on the remaining Tastee-Freeze!
@@realappalachia It's down Route 89 in Galax, like going to Mt. Airey. I think it opens back up in April.
@@jamese3169 that’s awesome, there used to be one just over the hill from where I lived growing up
@Real Appalachia We had one down the road from my house when I was a kid. You can still buy the franchise and have your very own.
@@jamese3169 now that would be awesome
Have you ever been to greasy hollow yet? Sounds like an awesome place!
Are they still selling the Strawberry flavored Dr. Enuf?? Love it - esp. with their one-of-a-kind chicken sandwich!

I only knew of the one in Lebanon. I drove by it on Wednesday for years and never tried it. My bad!

This video was awesome. Pity you can't eat like that now. Least not in Missouri.
👍
I loved eating at Pal’s. I enjoyed eating their French Fries! It makes it hard to eat healthier when you go by and see a Pal’s.
Oh yes, they’re too hard to pass up

@Clevis Bleiman arguably the best fries in the area!
Hey could you tell me who Pal was?
*three hours later* 😂😂😂😂
