    That little stand tilt tray works slick, at a good working height too...that's a lot of bundles you go thru holy cow! 👍 Have a great weekend buddy!

      Ya it does work good. So does your idea too with the pail. Whatever gets it done the easiest for ya. The lady at the bag store said they get orders for 30k bags in one order and get that 2 or 3 times a year.

      Ya figured it would really show how far it has gone. Should have looked harder and seen if I could have found a north American map showing it all.

    I have a big crate for Mum's stuff. All the Sycamore, long, short, bent or ugly ugly stuff goes into it. She gets rid of it for me without complaint!

    Nice to see wood split into reasonable size pieces. So many guys split and split and split until the whole bag is more like kindling than firewood.

      lol, I was just gonna say those pieces look a bit chunky…I like the smaller wood when sitting around a fireplace. More engaging and entertaining.

    I'm planning a setup where the pile of wood is stored on a platform/table like 3 feet up from the ground where one are standing, the platform with a small tilt towards you. Save the back and handling time)

      They maybe could be a touch smaller but our customers are happy with how they are.

    That's a nice set up you guys have.. ash you can burn green once lit you can't put it out.. but you have another shelter you pile hardwood in... how much can you fit in.. how long to dry.. how big is the tent

      Hey! Those shelters are 24x50 and we can get about 50 cord in them I believe. Because we can keep the rain off them they dry pretty fast we can open up the side abit to help with air flow too. They are pretty handy.

      @@sureflamefirewood4174 we got them from a company called L&R shelters in Dundas ontario. They have a web site with so.e pricing on it. (Not sure how up to date it is) let them know pal lumber sent ya.

    Haha back in the 1980's we made a bunch of slab wood bundles . We used strips of truck inner tube to hold it together. Never did get paid for it.

    wow.. you need a sorting table that you can drop a bunch of sections on so the sorter does not have to bend over and reach for every piece. something 200 pieces would fit on.

    Happy new year I like that system I wrap my bundles i need to weld up something to hold my wood and im thinking a bicycle crank and gear of some sort to run the shrink wrap around it

      Happy new year! Im guessing you use shrink wrap to do your bundles? I have seen some where they made a holder out of pipe but can't remember how they wrapped it. it was in one of the firewood groups on facebook.

    Did you make that firewood bag loader? I use a kitchen garage can I cut.
    But I like this better.

      Ya seems to differ per area. Just like chain chokers and cable chokers. They sell for 8 to 12 bucks at the stores

    How many pallets can you get from one load of lumber 80 bag per pallet?

      aprox 22. we have never done just one load to see. but say we get 14 full cords finished product and we are using 1 cuft bags it works out to just over 22 skids.

    Good day I was thinking that would be a job for a retired person, like me. If it makes a dollar, go for it. CTC Waterloo had bads for sale I think $10.00. I live in house end of farm that was sold, my insurance won't let me burn wood. Many yrs ago my dad went back to bush to get hemlock branches, boil them in water, strained it put sugar in it & we drank it. Now inter net says it poison? My parents are passed ??? Thanks

      Thats kinda the going rate for bags 8 to 12. Sucks you can't burn anymore. Did you're dad boil the branches or the fresh needles?

    Skidder Kev, just cotacted www.bagsupplies.ca because im looking for a bag supplier and got this back from them...kinda snotty " We do offer Firewood bags Canada wide, but anything to be shipped to the USA after what your government did to the increased duty for good entering into the USA makes it a waste of time.
    We have shipped 100’s of time to the US until a few month back after what Mr Trump did.

      We went with the 12" it seemed to sell better. Plus it will still work in a bigger stove.

    Interesting stuff! Wish we had those in our area so we could stop and get when were going camping. We have ash trees in our area but most is on private land. The farm we used to have had big swales of ah we would cut for fire wood. I really like burning it because it's clean and puts out the heat!       Ya they are either garbage or burned. One bad thing about them. I have seen the mushrooms you pick and I think they will fall through the holes in the bag haha

    What size are those bags ? And what you sell them for ?

      The bag is 20x24 and we put 12"wood in it. Sells for 8.99 to 12.99
