Another fantastic video, you just have the ability to tell a wonderful story about these boats, and a stunning video to go along with it, thanks for sharing. Hope you and your wife are doing well.
As always with your videos Kevin, so very well done. Today we now have so many folks doing TH-cam ship videos. But yours are a cut above. You bring in a great overall feeling with your music, narrative, and mixture of video, stills, drones. Thanks for all your efforts Kevin.
These are the best “coffee break” videos during the work day. So well narrated, edited, produced, and shot. It is clear there is a lot of time and effort behind these which is motivating, but also a nice relaxing separation from the work day. Thank you!
Been waitin' for this! Man, the water east of the highway bridge was SO clear!! I thought it was clear in the canal, but the view from above between the canal and highway bridge...awesome.
You've got a phenomenal narration voice. I've been in the Duluth-Superior once or twice a year since I was a child in the early 2000s, seems like more often than not the Miner is there, or on her way inbound. When I think Lake Freighter, I think the Mesabi Miner.
The Miner was the first laker I ever got to see under power in Duluth/Superior. That sense of awe as she came in the ship canal under the lift bridge has not left my memories. The Miner will always hold a special place in my heart.
Kevin.....I really love your style..! .. And i enjoy all of your creations .and the love and effort you put into each production it could not be any better your choice of music with your droan shots are just fantastic ..!.....You all ready know this ...lol....But i just want to tell you again ...its an honor to watch you .....Have you given any thought to my suggestion I made to you about a video on the history of the Channel? to lake Michigan , it looks man made what's the story behind it ..? ..who came up with the project to connect it to lake Michigan and when was it done . ( any pictures from the library of the construction) ..I think this would be a interesting video to make and share with Us ...Just a suggestion I thought of since i am from Michigan I don't know the history at all of Sturgeon Bay and the ship building. business .!. Your love of this subject and photography is drawling my interest very much......Thanks
Thanks, as always, jlions. There is plenty of history of the canal on line. I guess we just take it for granted. I'll give that subject some thought to incorporate into a video. Meantime, check this out: doorcountypulse.com/learn-sturgeon-bay-ship-canal-history-at-historical-society-program/#:~:text=The%20Ship%20Canal%20was%20an,1880%20and%20completion%20in%201882.
No. They aerate the water around the vessels to keep the ice at bay. It would otherwise crush their hulls. There is almost always a minimal crew on watch while in winter lay up.
That’s was a nice video and story line one my favorites thanks again
These videos are so well made! Could watch them all day. And your voice for narration is perfect
Very well done, great shots and great commentary.
Thank you very much!

Does this Big Ole' Freighter just like Freeze into the lce? Does it stay Occupied or Not?
