This was a very helpful video. Can you tell me how to manage the power policy on my c-series server. I don't have the option to set the power policy in CIMC. What version of CICM do I need to manage my power policy and throttle my fans on the server. The fans are very loud.
I just opened our replacement C240 box earlier today. When going into the CIMC Configuration Utility, I'm being asked for the current password. Since I just received this box, I certainly didn't set one previously. Is there a default CIMC password? I've already made a few attempts to figure it out but no luck thus far. I've been waiting to hear back from the Cisco Engineer that was assigned to my case, but haven't heard anything back from him in days....

To be honest it's been quite a while since I've been on a C-Series server. However, you should see it in the server tab. If not you may want to upgrade your CIMC to the latest version for your server. You should be able to also manage via CLI. I have being ask for password after pressing F8..please advise what's the password? I have tried the following password " admin:Cisco1234 , password , Cisco1234 and none of them is acceptable by the CIMC.
If it asks for a password then someone has completed some configuration on it. You may try consoling into it directly. If one has been set and noone knows the password then you'll have to go through the password recovery procedures. www.cisco.com/c/en/us/td/docs/unified_computing/ucs/sw/cli/config/guide/1-3-1/b_CLI_Config_Guide_1_3_1/CLI_Config_Guide_1_3_1_chapter41.html
