David, Like I’ve said in the past there would be no Michael’s Making Stuff or Art without you…. And you are still inspiring me. Had I not seen you do the Flop cup I wouldn’t have done it….I have to do another one soon but for now I am going full force with the wandering straight pour…. I can’t wait to see what I can come up with😊and I can’t wait til you see. Keep doing good brother you are the Man.
Thank you Michelle, I did see another way to get that yellow off that would have been even better, I think 🤔 that’s why it is good for me to use slightly more paint than I need because it gives me more options when tiling❤️
When I suggested you do a flop cup a while ago I knew you'd be good at it. Agree totally about getting rid of the big yellow blob. Yours turned out pretty neat. Some lovely cells there. I hope they continued to appear.
Thank you Paul, I honestly don’t know why I have never done one of these…. So much potential here with this style. Cadmium yellow cells did keep popping up especially in the top left corner. It’s a nice piece but know I know what I am doing let’s see what the next one will look like….. don’t forget to suggest a few techniques for Saturday I can’t wait to do the PICK MY POUR this week.
I'm voting every day. I've only ever seen flops done on longer, thinner canvases so your canvas was a first. I've just done a split cup kiss (after yesterday's disaster) and it's come out pretty good if I do say so myself. Enjoy your day.@@michaelyacovelli1763
Thank you Pauline, good thing that this was my first try with absolutely no testing or practice. Being a variation of a traditional pour style using a layered cup with slight wrist movement to create that flop I would believe that my next attempt will be more to your technical standers. Just for fun I will add it into my PICK MY POUR SERIES VOTING you might get some enjoyment watching me combine 5 techniques of one canvas.❤️
Love it. So glad I get to be inspired by people who have watched my videos in the past.

Thank you ArtorLife
I like the way you still got some white running through there. Can’t wait to see you do more of these!
Thank you August, I also can’t wait to do more of these. You know the multiple cup version has to be next.
Michael, this is beautiful! Your flop cup was definitely not a flop!
Thank you Debbie❤️
I had the Flop cup in my technique a week bowl but decided not to do it. I don't know why, yours turned out awesome! I should have tried it.
Thank you Cassie❤️
Michael, it's a super cool flop cup. I will have to try. Stay happy!!

Thank you Mom❤️
That was a great flop cup Michael. I think you made the right call on the yellow. It turned out awesome.🎉

I'm not quite sure you grasped the concept of "flop" as demonstrated by Mr. Turner, but it was fun watching you try.

Actually, I think he flopped the paint on canvas just as Mr turner did.
