- Yes we do live in our home. I had someone ask if anybody lived here..lol. Well organized I guess…lol. In todays video come along as I add some new items to my living room area today. I hope I inspire you to decorate your own home for the summer season. Although I generally decorate with a lot of stuff for fall and Christmas, however I like to allow my house to breathe for the summer. I’m shocked that someone would give a thumbs down in any of your videos. I love how calm and inviting your home is. As far as asking if anyone lives in your home….just because it’s not filthy and cluttered doesn’t mean that no one lives there. There’s only two people living there. If people pick up behind themselves it’s going to always be clean on the surface.

Your home looks very calm. I love the look you have created. As for the "The Thumbs Down Viewers" its your home, I also pare down my decor in Summer, I like the airy feeling my home gives me, the sun is out and the windows are open with the light breeze. I also have gardens to take care of as others do also in the summer. I am 71 and very active. But my decor is mine I do what is best for my Husband and me. I also decorate others homes and they all pare down their decor also. So keep doing what you like and be happy. I love your decor. See ya later. God Bless.

I had to stop watching before I was finished to get something off my chest (so to speak). Did I hear you say you get thumbs down on your summer videos? That blows my mind! First of all, I don't know how anyone could dislike something like a decorating video enough to give it a thumbs down, but secondly, as an "old southern woman" myself, I was taught if I couldn't say something nice, don't say anything at all! I was offended to even think someone would do that. Okay. I feel better now. Back to the video. I love those little pops of yellow! Such a perfect summery touch. I also really like the idea of putting the tissues in that basket for easy access. I am going to do that in my living room today. What a great idea! Thank you Rebecca. Don't change for anyone. I think your home looks beautiful with all of the yellow for the summer...yellow is such a happy color! I love the mantle and the birdhouse is so cute...love the barn door and the shape of it. Well, I really like your videos, and I have watched a lot of U Tubers that say for summer they want to let their house breathe so they only put out a few decorations. You just keep on doing what your doing, you do a great job!!

I keep our home simple in summer, too! I don't have farmhouse but I don't think it's completely out. I'm sure folks will carry over their pieces into a different vibe like I keep my whimsical primitive country touches. I love what you did with the tall vases on the mantel! Your mantel looks about twice as thick as ours but I bet I could do something similar to build height!

I’m an empty nester and my house stays pretty much picked up as well. It’s not the same as when I had my children living at home. If you pick up everyday and clean as you cook, it’s really not hard to keep a house like yours😊 People are ridiculous sometimes 🤦🏼♀️😁Looks lovely! Love your channel💗
