    Great news, my friend!!!
I drank my very first bottle of Carruades de Lafite (vintage 2012) just 3 days ago, to celebrate 15 years with my woman. I was impressed with the wine! One of the best of my life until now, for sure!!! Extremely elegant, ethereal and already evolved! A real blessing for wine lovers.

grigorhaig: I saw your post on Instagram...congratulations! Glad you got to celebrate with Carruades, which is a great wine! Cheers!

Tony, I’ve just tasted my very first Anseillan (vintage 2018) tonight. It is a really charming, elegant, delicious gastronomical wine from Pauillac. Great experience. I liked in particular its charming aromas derived from their own oak barrels (produced at Château Lafite Rothschild). It is a unique characteristic.
      Cheers my friend 🍷

@@grigorhaig glad you enjoyed it. I think it provides pretty good value as it drinks quite nice. Not really for long term aging. Cheers!

Great video. I didn't know about this project- very exciting. You mention several times that this wine gives access to the Lafite "style" at a lower price point. How would you describe the Lafite style? You mention "smooth", anything else? Thanks!

noahcap: for me if you drink Lafite and Carruades you get a really balanced and silky smooth aftertaste. Lafite family wines don't try to over impress you...understated but really refined. Same with this wine...it does hit you with lots of fruit but there is fruit, well balanced body and nice aftertaste. Lafite wines get better as you drink them and really start to grow on you after the 2nd glass. Cheers!

Thanks for the review! This one is almost £100 even here in the UK/Europe. Maybe a bit expensive for what it is? Will try if I get the chance to buy a single bottle!

dominic: let me know what you think... I think it is well priced and you will see it appreciate a bit over the next few years. Very drinkable product and quality is there. Cheers!

Could be a good move for Lafitte. Only time will tell. Very interesting tho thank you.

DH: I think it is a very astute move by Lafite. It is not just a marketing gimic...this is a really good wine that is accessible early. Not for collectors but for consumers to drink. Please like, subscribe and keep watching. Cheers!

$100 for a 91 point wine doesn't sound very impressive to me. Interesting product nonetheless.

Rob: wouldn't worry too much about points. It is an interesting wine that is in the style of Lafite. My belief is that you actually learn more about Lafite drinking this wine than some 5th growth Pauillacs. Please like, subscribe and keep watching. Cheers!

this is them trying to survive and not be left behind, not them been couple of steps ahead. first growth Bordeaux wines are retro and irrelevant in a modern wine context 😅

llurispuir: I agree...very smart move on their part for recognizing that they are being priced out of the market and they will eventually become irrelevant to the normal consumer, which will ultimately affect their brand long term. Cheers
